The last two episodes of Smash air tonight, completing the two year run of the show. The casts of Hit List and Bombshell gather at the Tony Awards. Will either production come away as winners?

What did you think of the series finale of Smash. Will you miss the show?

It’s a crucial moment for both shows as Tony nominations loom, but keeping your eye on the prize can be hard. As Tom (Christian Borle) crosses an influential Tony voter and Ivy (Megan Hilty) copes with some very distracting news, Derek’s (Jack Davenport) past has repercussions for the entire “Hit List” team. On Tony night, the awards might not provide the answers everyone is looking for. As Jimmy (Jeremy Jordan) faces a final reckoning, Tom, Julia (Debra Messing), Derek (Jack Davenport), Karen (Katharine McPhee), Ivy, and most of all, Eileen (Anjelica Huston) wait to see if the ceremony will confirm their place in the Broadway pantheon once and for all. Rosie O’Donnell, Cheyenne Jackson, Ron Rifkin, and Bernadette Peters guest star.

Yeah, unfortunately, the writing and plot are still a mess. lol I guess that no one cared enough since the show was cancelled. I still dislike the “Jimmy” character intensely and Karen is just there. I still love Megan Hilty and Christian Borle and hope that they have a lot of opportunities to be in other television shows as a result of Smash.

    Kyle wins! Big surprise! lol

If Karen wins the TONY, that will be so lame (and unbelievable).

  • fuzzywuzzy

    YES! Ivy wins!

It’s too bad that the plot was so bad in this show, the musical numbers were first rate. Everything was tied up neatly at the end, but I liked that Bombshell, Ivy and Tom won TONYs over Hitlist, so personally, I was happy. lol I’ll miss Megan Hilty, Christian Borle and Jack Davenport and the great musical numbers, but not the show itself and totally understand why it was cancelled.

Ivy (someone who back stabs) and Tom (a song writer who’s full of himself with no directing experience) won? That’s lame. No wonder the show is a mess.

Sure there were holes in the plot, but Smash was a show which presented a different aspect of the entertainment world. I loved most of the actors and the musical productions were often outstanding. *sob sob* I miss it already!

I don’t care …. I ? this show. At least they tied it up. I was happy to be introduced to a whole new talented cast that I had never seen before. Megan Hilty and jack Davenport shone in this series. I’m just sorry it fizzled and died.

I agree! I’m going to miss this show

I’ll miss Smash, as it was different, from everything else on TV. Very happy that Ivy and not Karen won. And Bombshell too. As it was essentially about the Marilyn MOnroe musical, it was the only sensible outcome.

I’m going to miss Smash, i think. I’ll definitely miss Christian Borle and Megan Hilty. I just wish it had been better plotted. But maybe that was harder to do than it seems. Glee can’t seem to put together a coherent, consistent storyline either.

But it was nice to see Ivy win the Tony, and I liked the moment Eileen took to encourage Karen. There were a lot of sweet moments in the final episode.

I’m going to miss the show. They are all so talented.

Missing Smash is exactly what a lot of people did last night, but unfortunately in a different sense. According to The Hollywood Reporter the finale had only a 0.5 rating with 2.4M viewers.
