Ryan Seacrest Vows to Never Leave American Idol (VIDEO)

Today - 2014

Ryan Seacrest swears he will never ever leave American Idol. “Not a chance,” he said on TODAY Tuesday, noting he’s “never” even considered quitting. “I’m so used to getting up each year and doing that show. And I love the process of going out and meeting somebody … and if they’ve got the talent, seeing them become a star.”

When asked about the Blackberry lawsuit (Ryan has invested in a product that will turn an iPhone into a Blackberry-like device. The company is suing) Ryan kept mum, only to say, he’ll “defend it.” He brought the device with him to show the hosts.

Also, Ryan traveled to Seoul to learn how to figure skate. Much hilarity ensued. Watch the video below.

Yes, the Captain should always be the last to leave a sinking ship. Good on you, Ryan. lol j/k

  • Amy Beth

Just tell us when you’re ending the Kardashian show, Ryan.

  • Face

that’s assuming that… in a couple of years… TPTB will want a 40 year old dude presenting a show to find the next singing superstar…

  • Mel432

The show made him a ton of money.

  • b_james

As a fan of the show, this is great news. Idol without Ryan would not be Idol. I also think he should be one of the producers by now.

I know, no one listened to Dick Clark, or Wolf Man Jack or Casey Kasem or Don Kirschner after they turned 40. Much like no one under 40 listens to Howard Stern today.

  • Matthew Kitson

No seacrest , no idol. Glad to know he has no plans of stepping down

  • Mel432

Ryan is 39, Carson Daly – 40, Mario Lopez – 40. They all look and are great at what they do. Ryan was really dorky when he first hosted AI. He has come a long way, and he’ll keep getting better.

  • MickeiKnight

They don’t mind having 40 year olds judging the next singing superstar.

  • Mel432

Good point. They are 44, 46 and 46. Ryan is a baby.

  • Quaribea

Actually, he said he had never thought about leaving, not that he would never leave.

  • Kariann Hart

Really? Guess I was the exception.

  • Kariann Hart

Ryan is so good at what he does. I’m glad he’s with the show!

  • Bugme Nomor

Get out of here! Ryan’s motivation to produce the Kardashian show is an abiding desire to improve American culture.

  • disqus_l9306FWZtD

Pt is kidding – the point is that all those listed have been listened to even after they were over 40.

  • Madilo

Yeah i like him as a host on Idol and i don’t know if i’d be able to watch it without him lol

  • ptslittlecomment

Yes, thank you for catching the heavy dose of sarcasm with which I posted. :)

Yup with all the $$$ they’re paying him plus he’s got a successful radio show and other things there’s no way he’ll be swimming in sharks once Idol sinks.
