Rock In Rio Live Stream – Phillip Phillips, John Mayer, Bruce Springsteen

It’s a weekend of awesome music festivals! Along with the iHeartRadio music festival, which is going on in Las Vegas this weekend, the big Rock in Rio festival has been playing every night for the past week!

Tonight, American Idol season 11 winner, Phillip Phillips opens for John Mayer and the BOSS himself, Bruce Springsteen, on the Rio de Janeiro World Stage.

From what I understand, Phillip’s set begins at 7:30 pm EDT. And you can watch it right here.

ETA: Phillip’s hour long set was amazing!  His band is A+. For now, you can rewind the video to the beginning of his set–at about the 2:05 mark— if you missed it!  If any videos pop up, I’ll post them.

Set list included: “Get up Get Down,” “Man on the Moon,” “Drive Me,” “Gone Gone Gone,” “Hold On,” “Wanted is Love,” “Where We Came From,” “Thriller,” and “Home” (With a long sexy intro, mashing up “Let’s Get it On” into the song)

“Thriller” is re-interpreted into a long jam-bandy thing as are songs like “Man on the Moon,”  “Drive Me,” “Wanted as Love” and “Where We Came From.” The lead guitarist (who toured with Idols Live), horn player and keyboardists are all standouts.
