I don’t watch the Big Bang Theory – the hostess Kaley seems to be trying hard, but the jokes are just ok.  Sometimes  its better to just skip the witty banter.

  • jennyl2

Congratulations Chris and Lea! It’s about time. Looks like Glee is still relevant.

  • supersonic

Yeah, but no one really cares about the People’s Choice Awards.  These are the only awards Glee can get.

  • Michael Bishop

    Katy Perry  Meh.

  • fantoo1

Taylor Swift shouldn’t even be in the country category anymore…

  • Jason Scott

LOL at Taylor winning a Country award…again. Sad.

  • sweetmm

Wow The Wanted won over 1D????

I saw on the website that The X Factor won for best reality competition. Very surprising, especially when you look at their ratings, etc.

Is PCA based on internet votes? If it is, X-Factor winning is pretty natural. More teens and tweenies watch it around the world than the other shows. The extra-cheesy and corny format, plus Britney and Demi helped it to happen. Their fanbase are big, but much bigger around the world than on the USA.

  • mjsbigblog

The Voice has much better ratings in the desirable demo – 18-49 – than X Factor does. SIGNIFICANTLY better, in fact.

It must have been the Demi Lovato fans power voting.

  • sweetmm

People Choice Award are teen voters; hence its more of Teen Choice Award similar to the MTV Awards.

  • Willis White

Not surprised at the X Factor win at all.

Yes, the PCA’s are heavily voted by teens. MJ posted that the Voice got better ratings in that demo, but that doesn’t include online/youtube viewings. I feel the teen demo is becoming more and more used to viewing the performances on their phones and at their leisure. Then, they will spam internet polls from around the world. X Factor US seemed to have a strong showing online this year. I’m kind of excited for the new Twitter/Nielson ratings this year and what new data will come with it.

  • Kariann Hart

If a judge is extremely popular with the teens and young 20s, it makes sense that the Favorite Competition TV Show would be the one they voted for and wins.  I am happy for Chris and Lea!

  • CB40

I do agree with Demi as favorite judge, she’s awesome.

  • Lori

Yeah, as I was reading the results, my first thought was this is more Teen Choice Awards redux, than what People’s Choice once represented. Congrats to the winners but it’s pretty much meaningless.

  • DragonFly

     X Factor

Yet another feather in Simon’s cap & absolutely not deserved—nvr seems to end for him.  Can you see the cocky grin?—I can.  “power voting” crapola.

  • ellen8

I started watching Big Bang last year and can’t get enough of it !!   I don’t know where I’ve been for the first 5 years of this show but thankfully reruns are everywhere !!   I can’t believe X Factor won – even a rerun of Big Bang gets more viewers than X !!!

Is the People’s Choice the award that the winners know before they are announced on TV ??   The winners seemed to be acting “surprised” when they were announced.

  • Mateja Praznik

IMO, PCA for The X Factor is well deserved.

  • Lara Pereira

happy for demi and the x factor

  • Jordana33

The four other nominees in the best Comedic Actress were robbed. Lea Michele? Really?

  • fuzzywuzzy

I don’t take the PCA seriously at all. The fans determine the nominees and the winners (spamming is rampant), and it’s just an opportunity to see some celebs IMO. Some of the categories are pretty funny (eg. “Favorite Face of Heroism” and “onscreen chemistry”) and so are some of the nominees/winners. 1D’s fanbase was so busy voting for best album, that they slacked off on the “breakout artist” voting. lol One thing though – Sandra Bullock really is quite the humanitarian.

  • Lexi

So odd.  Most of the shows, singers, etc., are new on the scene and seem to be popular with the teen crowd, then you get to the bands:  Green Day, Linkin Park, Maroon 5, No Doubt, and Train.  Aren’t all these bands pretty old at this point?  I remember listening to Green Day in high school and I’m old.

  • fantoo1

Not compared to the other shows it was against.
