Kris Allen – Little Kids Rock Gala – Exclusive Interview and Performance (VIDEO)

I had the privilege to attend the Little Kids Rock Right 2 Rock Celebration on October 16 in New York City. An all-star assemblage of musicians got together to present Steven Van Zandt of the E Street Band with the “Big Man of the Year Award.”

American Idol Season 8 winner, Kris Allen, was on hand to perform on of Steven’s songs, “The Time Of Your Life.” Before the gala concert, that also featured Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello, Darlene Love, Tom Morello and more, he spoke with the press. He took questions from reporters first, and then later I was lucky enough to talk with Kris one on one.

Kris spilled details on his upcoming Christmas EP (I got him to spill a song!), future projects including a NEW album and more! Kris is heading into this new chapter of his life with optimism and an air of excitement. Good things are coming, people. Check it out. I’ll be posting a recap of the evening later, so watch for that.

One on One Interview with Kris Allen

Kris Allen Takes Questions from The Press

Wow, great stuff MJ! Awesome interview. You should do more interviews. Glad to see Kris so happy and excited for the future. He sounded great too!

So does RCA own Thank You Camellia and that is why Kris would have to re-record  one of his songs to make it a single? Kind of sucks, but sounds like we’ll get some new music soon.

  • Twinsie42

Great info! Thanks MJ, for all the scoop!

  • linsmile

Thank you, MJ!  Thanks for the fun interview and the scoop on the Christmas EP.  Thanks for recording the press questions.  And thanks for the performance video!  I love how excited Kris seems for what’s to come for him.  He seems to have specific plans he is happy about.  It will be fun to see what happens for him in this next year!

  • girlygirltoo

So Christmas EP (no original songs, but Holly Jolly Christmas, lol), and hopefully new album sometime next year, yay. :)

Kris seems very excited about the future, so that’s good.

And confirmation that he’s not with 19R anymore either.

    Some good scoop, MJ. Thanks!

ETA – Pollstar says Kris may have another NYC show on Jan. 12 (he’s playing 2 shows at Joe’s Pub in NYC next Saturday, of course).

  • elliegrll

I think that it’s 19 who owns the masters, since they license the songs to RCA.  That situation sucks, because even if Kris does re-record the songs, financially it might not be worth it, unless he has a way to get the songs out to a wider audience.

  • http://twitter.com/shoriagirl Shoriagirl

Great interview! Very happy that Kris managed to get away from 19R, they were useless.

  • washpd

Thanks for all of this, MJ! Kris seems really excited about what’s to come, and you got some nice scoop!

The press conference video won’t play for me, though. It says it is private. :

  • Ratna12

Thanks so much MJ for the interview.
I can not wait to hear the Christmas songs, and loving Kris’ excitement for the future …free as a bird.
I love watching the second video too, he looks so handsome and always smiling.
Yeah, Arkansas is one of the poorest state, not much of a music scene, etc, etc,..as much as I don’t like AI sometimes, I thank gawd for that show for bringing Kris to me.

  • http://twitter.com/S1ngPianoGuitar Amanda Spencer

Thank you! Kris sounds really excited which makes me excited! I love how chill he is too. I just love him! Great music, great guy. <3

  • NCshopgirl

Thanks, MJ! That was a fun interview, you got a scoop (like WOW!), and your recording of “The Time of Your Life” sounds so good!!! o/

Loved the big smile on his face when he said he was excited about the future.

It was so worth the wait! Thanks again.

  • wordnerdarchie

Yes, MJ, we knew about the fact that Kris wasn’t with 19R anymore, lol.  There was a whole, long discussion about that here on your blog when this page linked below was found.  How could you have forgotten?  LOL!

    http://coremediagroup.com/19.html

  • MellyPer1692

He seems excited about the future, I’m glad. He also seems looser in this interview, more confident. It’s great to see :)

  • luly

Thank you, MJ! it’s a good interview. I am excited for Kris’s future.

  • nncw

Thanks for the interview MJ – great questions. I can’t get this song out of my head since hearing it yesterday – I love the tone of his voice and the way he tells a story when he sings. Steven sounds like such a generous and caring individual so nice to have someone like that take an interest in Kris. Kris is certainly on a great roll having sung with Jose Feliciano and now to meet Bruce Springsteen. Can’t wait for the Christmas album.

  • http://MJO judes

Thanks for the interview with Kris MJ. He does seem really upbeat about the future. I think I would be to if I was more in control of my career. Glad to see him so open & happy with what he’s doing.

BTW MJ did you get an interview with Michael Johns?

  • mtlfan2

thanks mj! that was worth the wait.
I’m excited for the Christmas EP!!! I hope and think there will also be Have yourself a little merry Christmas on the EP — crossing my fingers as i love Kris’s version–  This will be fun and super YAY for a new album next year.
Good for you (and us) that you’re getting scoops!

  • tripp_ncwy
  • http://twitter.com/Miztig Miz

That put a huge smile on my face. Thank you so much, MJ. Great interview and you got a lot of info from him. Most important is that he is very happy with how things are going and excited for what is in the future. I was just saying the other day how he seems much happier and more free creatively.

Excited for the Christmas EP. Have to admit, I had that ‘Kris Allen is singing WHAT?’ reaction to ‘Holly Jolly Christmas’. Which means it’s going to be killer. It always is.

Oh, and I also can watch the Press conference. Also get ‘private’. Darn :(

  • parsenip

Not being with 19R any longer is news to me.  Good news.  I didn’t think contestants off Idol could even get out of that one.  I was never very clear on what 19R does exactly except siphon more money off the contestants.
[blockquote]That situation sucks, because even if Kris does re-record the songs, financially it might not be worth it, unless he has a way to get the songs out to a wider audience. [/blockquote]
I would actually love to hear a re-record of My Weakness. I love that song, but I always feel Kris’s voice is a little over-produced on it in places.  Beyond that, I’m wondering how an artist gets radio play without a label on anything other than AAA.  It’s hard enough even with a label.

  • http://twitter.com/bagel08 John S

Good interview. He seems very positive about the future. I hope he finds a good label for himself.

Looks like we will have TWO former idols recording Holly Jolly Christmas.

  • MissMyEm

First of all…MJ…that photo of Kris is gorgeous.   Thank you for that and also for the great interview.  You asked a lot of great questions.   I’m so glad that Kris seems happy and excited about his future and inasmuch as I’d love Kris to spill on some things, he’s always been close mouthed about what’s to come.   I remember when he first tweeted about his split from RCA that he seemed not to be upset at all and this video and your interview just gives me confirmation that it is so.
It sounds like a definite that there will be a 3rd CD somewhere down the line and even another single from Thank You Camellia.   I appreciate your question about contractual obligations but Kris hedged that it would work out.

As for the Christmas CD…cannot wait.

And finally, what an awesome experience for Kris to be on the same stage with Elvis Costello, Bruce Springsteen (who is one of my favorite musicians) and Stevie Van Zandt and it’s wonderful that the Van Zandts have given him so much support.

I’d love him to elaborate on how Bruce changed his life, but then again…once you experience Bruce…there’s no turning back.   He’s the best.

So thanks again MJ.   Loved everything.

  • nyc57

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas is my favorite too.I listen to it all year round. So soulful.

  • Eileen99

Thanks for the great interview, MJ.  Kris sure seems relaxed, happy & confident about the future.  I like that he gives off the sense that he’s got things planned/going on for next year that we don’t necessarily know about yet.  He didn’t look like a guy worried about his career one bit.

I love Christmas music, so am excited to get some music from Kris.  I know he wanted to do this a year or two ago but maybe the label got in the way of that happening.

Also, I have to say Kris looks sharp. A+ to the new outfit.

  • lovetheusa1776

Kris looks just great – handsome, healthy, and on his way to bigger and better things.  Wish him all the best – and hope to tell him that on the 29th.

  • nyc57

What a fantastic interview and Kris seemed to enjoy it.You really got Kris to open up about his career. It sounded like a conversation between old friends.Kris seems so genuinely happy and optimistic about his career and his future. He just has such natural warmth and charm. So happy you got the press conference and thank God  there were no American Idol questions. So nice the the focus was on music.

  • mjsbigblog

BTW, a couple of off the record notes.

When I introduced myself to Kris, he said the EXACT same to me that David Cook did when I met him “We haven’t met yet, have we?”  Ha!  I said “I think your fans are more excited about this interview than you are…” then I realized what I said and added, “Not that I’m not excited.”  His reply was really snarky, like “That’s fine, I’ll forget you said that…” or something like that, I can’t remember his exact words.

And…he LOVES his fans. He really, really does. He thinks y’all are cool. For reals.

  • http://twitter.com/crackletlightin B

Interested in hearing the song he collaborated on with Jason Castro and Jon McLaughlin.

  • girlygirltoo

    lol, love snarky!Kris

and yay that he loves us. He really really loves us :)

  • hoosiermama2

Great stuff here! Thank you Stevie for choosing the perfect song for Kris to sing. It keeps playing in my head and I love it!

Thank you MJ for the awesome interview. I like that Kris says he still wants to write good pop songs and he wants me to sing along with them. I’m happy to listen to anything this guy puts out…and it looks like Christmas music will be next. I thought it was interesting that Kris only mentioned Andrew as working on the EP. I would have thought Cale and Torres would be adding harmonies and some percussion? I’m very curious to hear how it all turns out. I loved “The Christmas Song” he/KAB did on the Bonnie Hunt show–it was so cool. I hope that’s what we get–a cool EP.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8B_e1lQcM8

I have to agree with all the other posters who are happy to see Kris so happy and excited for the future! No need to worry about him; he will be fine. Thank you Kris for continuing to share your gift with us!

  • http://twitter.com/shoriagirl Shoriagirl

Cale has been recording his music in Nashville and Torres is on honeymoon, probably.  Andrew and Kris can create a lot of music!

  • b_james

Such a good dude.  I wish nothing but the best for him.

  • Triskel4

Thanks, MJ.  Glad you got to be a part of this, glad you shared with us

  • linsmile

Thanks for sharing your extra comment.  I was wondering if you had met before.  I remember when you met David Cook and he said that – funny that Kris said the same thing.

  • nyc57

On a superficial note,Kris really looks handsome in his spiffy new clothes.

  • Ratna12

MJ, thanks for the extra notes.
I think some of the Idols are apprehensive meeting you, ha-ha, you are kind of “powerful”.
Great to hear that he loves his fans, and I think that he shows that everytime there is meet & greet and other post shows interactions with his fans.

  • http://twitter.com/krismicklin Linda Parish

Kris definitely loves his fans!  So appreciative that he takes the time after shows, sometimes over an hour to meet with us and he makes us feel so special.  Love the videos and the interview.  What an honor for Kris to sing “The Time of Your Life” and to finally meet The Boss.

  • MissMyEm

I got “private” as well but I was not logged on.  After I logged in I was able to view the press conference.  Don’t know if that was the case with you, but it worked for me.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/DJ7WHUJBDWDRRVA6FZZZ2OG4BY Sam

Christmas album? Sigh. I don’t get why everybody and their dog must release a Christmas album. There are thousands out there already. Nobody is ever going to put a new spin on those anymore.

I’m excited at the prospect of new music next year, though. And that there would be less compromising. I really want to hear what new 100% Kris Allen will sound like! (No mashups, hopefully. whoo!)

Great for him that 19R let him go, it was the one that only took money, right? I thought it was really hard to get away from them.

  • Kirsten

Christmas album? Sigh. I don’t get why everybody and their dog must
release a Christmas album. There are thousands out there already.

Because they are super cheap to produce and there are people like me who own a lot of Christmas music. Sorry. I’m an addict. Fortunately, it doesn’t take much time to make them.

I can’t wait to hear his new music.

Great interview MJ. It’s nice to hear some interesting questions and questions the fans are dying to know the answer for.

The dude who was giving Kris the “Prove You’re From Arkansas” test at the end of the press interview was getting a bit weird. If it had kept up much longer, I think he might have started accusing Kris and shouting “You’ve never been to Arkansas before, have you?? Admit it. ADMIT IT!!”

  • mzbet

Loved your interview, mj! I for one am thrilled about the Christmas EP! I’ve been wanting one ever since hearing the ones he performed at the Christmas radio shows and the Bonnie Hunt Show he did a couple of years ago. I also can’t wait to hear the song that Andrew will be playing the cigar box guitar on lol

    And new record possibility? Yes!!

  • Incipit

Sam, it’s not about a new spin on Christmas classics – it’s about something for the fans that is cheap to produce, as Kirstin said, and nice to have for people who buy a lot of Christmas music.

I think it’s cool that Kris is doing this EP – wouldn’t mind having one from DC, but he’s not gonna, I already know that. We have the two songs from the 2008 Tree Lighting at Rockefeller Center – “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and “Happy Christmas, War is Over”, and that’ll have to do. Heh.

  • Pippygirl

Christmas music is nice but I’m more excited that we will be getting another album. Kris seems very positive and happy which is great to see. In his case I don’t think he and RCA had any “creative differences”, I think they just couldn’t figure out how to make things happen for him. It sounds like his new music will still be along the lines of what he has done before. Since I love TYC I’m good with that.

  • http://twitter.com/buffyloverlori buffyloverlori

Thank’s MJ for getting all this exciting info from Kris!!!!!! I really love how much he loves his fans. And maybe new CD some time next year!!!!! And a 5 EP of Christmas Music, that us fans have been bugging him for, for a very long time!!!!! So excited to find out when we can buy it and what other 4 songs will be on it!!!! And he seem’s so happy and so excited for his future!!!!! What more can we ask for.!!!!!!!!!! Love it!!!!!

  • http://twitter.com/dy7764 dy

Aw, he is born to make music for sure. He’s got this fan for life. LOL I too am glad he is done with all things 19. And I cannot wait for the Krismas music! Especially “Holly Jolly Christmas” – I just know he and Andrew will slay that one.

There’s a Christmas song on you tube by the way from Andrew’s old band the Jive Turkeys – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBkV-gmyr7w – not saying this is the direction that the Christmas EP will take at all, but it’s fun to listen to.

  • tripp_ncwy

I appreciate your question about contractual obligations but Kris hedged that it would work out.

I don’t thik Kris hedged at all. It would probably take longer than a 5 minute interview ti explain all the legal issues involved when you part with a major label.

  • kmd23

Kris is no longer with RCA so then what label is he releasing his music on? Maybe it was mentioned but I did not catch it and that is what I am curious about. I did not watch the vids. I am assuming it is an indie label. It is so hard to get any radio play without a label as even with a label and fan base most idols don’t get the radio play.

  • tripp_ncwy

Interesting UMPG brought Kris, Jason Castro & John McLaughlin together for the Dallas writing session.  I hope they do more of that for Kris.

  • Axxxel

Yeah, Kris looks gorgeous *shallowbutIdon’tcare*… and he sounds great !

  • rayni

Big sign of contentment here! Thank you so much, mj – a wonderful interview.

And lawd, he’s a good looking little thing, isn’t he?!!! Whew.

  • tripp_ncwy

Torres has been back from his honeymoon. He played with Kris & Cale at the show he did at OSU 10/8.

  • Axxxel

Didn’t like the interviewer who keept hammering on not so nice aspects of Arkansas…did not understand the relevance of those questions… good thing they ended the conference right there… Kris did say it was a beautiful state…

  • Eileen99

lol I buy 2-3 Xmas CDs every year. Can’t. get. enough.  And, Kris’ fans have been asking him to record some Christmas music for years.  I think it’s something he’s doing for his fans and himself.

  • HopeForMusic

Nice interview MJ…thanks!!  So reassuring to see Kris so happy and confident, and like others, I have to say he is looking incredible.  I haven’t been able to go to a live show, and I can’t imagine what it must be like to be on the receiving end of one of those brilliant smiles.  He must be a blast to interview!

So happy about the Christmas music, and even more so about the prospect of new music next year!  Lots of exciting things ahead!

  • http://twitter.com/Miztig Miz

I ended up refreshing the page (also had some notice to log in on the page but I didn’t). Finally got to watch the press interview.

My favorite part was the Arkansas exchange which was somewhat ridiculous. ‘Where’s your accent?’ … ‘I’m in NY’ lol

Also loved his comment about his musical education and playing viola in orchestra. ‘I was the clef nobody else could read’ (need to re-watch for exact wording)

Oh, and AR isn’t the poorest state. That honor goes to Mississippi.

  • http://twitter.com/Miztig Miz

Sam, we fans have been wanting a Christmas album from Kris for years. We’ve had to resort to ‘do it yourself’ snagging mp3s of performances.

I’m thrilled that we’re going to get legit Christmas music from Kris.

  • parsenip

In his case I don’t think he and RCA had any “creative differences”, I think they just couldn’t figure out how to make things happen for him.

I think it’s more like they didn’t even try.  But, whatever – water under the bridge.   Kris has come out alive on the other side with his spirit and creativity intact, a loyal supportive fanbase, lots of great contacts, and what appears to be, if the newer PR pieces are any indication, a management team that really gets who he is as a person and an artist.  It’s a whole new ballgame – complete with Christmas music!

  • siennalily

I’m so excited about Christmas music from Kris. I love the acoustic vibe of him with Torres and Cale so I hope that there will be some of that with his collaboration with Andrew. It’s wonderful to see him looking and sounding so upbeat and happy. His voice on that song is just amazing. I really appreciate that Kris and some of the other Idols who seem to be under appreciated by most of the industry have found such great support from the Van Zandt’s. Thanks so much for bringing this to us MJ.

  • mimi

Thanks for the interview MJ.  I love Kris and I’m glad (and relieved) that he is so excited about what’s to come!  Add me to the list of buyers of Kris’s Christmas EP.  I don’t usually buy Christmas albums, but Kris can’t go wrong when he and Andrew collaborate.  Thinking about O Holy Night and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas in particular here…  woot!  Can’t wait!

  • elliegrll

    a loyal supportive fanbase

This base isn’t large, which is a problem, especially since these are mainly people who became fans of Kris’ via AI.  It’s probably a base of fewer than 25,000 people, that will get smaller the longer that Kris is out of the public eye and not releasing music.

I’m glad that he’s happy and content, and I don’t have a problem with the Christmas album, but I can understand why someone like Cook wouldn’t do one.  It does nothing to attract new fans, or help him establish the type of artist he is.  It’s something that would appeal to AI fans, but these fans may not be the base that David wants to appeal to with his original music.  I think that Kris is less interested in defining who the audience is for his music, or even in defining his sound.  That  a was a big deal when he was with RCA, but it may not be now, since the best chance that he has to get his original songs heard by a mass audience may be to get himself established as a writer first.

  • Ratna12

I don’t buy nor own a Christmas albums, so I’m very excited to buy Kris’.
I can actually listen to this during the holiday season instead of listening to the radio.

  • hoosiermama2

So, are we thinking the Christmas EP will be something that is only available as a download and not as a hard copy because of cost? It will be interesting to see how they market it with his website being in transition. They should have it ready to go very soon, right?

It would be nice for him to get on a holiday show to sing one of the songs…

  • mzhallcat

I just want to add my heartfelt thanks to mj for these videos and an excellent interview. It was refreshing to hear an interviewer ask relevant questions and it was fun to watch.  Like two friends having a chat, and Kris sure did smile alot. Also, a huge thanks to the VanZandts for believing in Kris’s talent and asking him to be a part of this epic show. This was the perfect song for Kris and he nailed it!!!

  • almondean88

Thank you MJ, thank you so very much!!
This is a great interview.  Kris
is so chatty, flashing his gorgeous smile.
You got all those great details about the Charismas EP.  I’m another one who has collected all the mp3
of Kris doing Christmas songs.  I can’t
wait to download it.  It seems that
everybody eventually does some Christmas music and why not that’s all they play
on the radio for weeks.  It’s great that
Andrew relocated to Nashville from LA.
So much closer to Kris so hopefully there will be more collaboration in
    the future.

  • almondean88

Here is a link to the pictures of Kris at the Springsteen concert in LA last April.  I remember Kris talked about the concert in several radio interviews. Kris mentioned that during the concert he suddenly found himself thinking of his Dad and tears starting rolling down his face.  He didn’t mention which song Bruce was singing that got that reaction.  Kris said that Bruce was such a powerful and emotional performer and that the concert was a life changing experience.
    http://www.justjared.com/2012/04/28/kris-allen-bruce-springsteen-concert/

  • Pippygirl

I think that Kris is less interested in defining who the audience is
for his music, or even in defining his sound.  That  a was a big deal
when he was with RCA, but it may not be now, since the best chance that
he has to get his original songs heard by a mass audience may be to get
himself established as a writer first.

I think TYC has a cohesive sound to it but I agree that Kris can pretty much write songs in any genre. I think he really likes many kinds of music and is knowledgeable in many kinds of music.

  • nyc57

I think Kris is doing a Christmas EP simply because he loves Christmas music and knows his fans will enjoy it.I don’t think it has anything to do wih attracting new fans or establishing who he is as an artist. He probably had fun doing it with Andrew and wasn’t very expensive to do.I don’t understand the comparison to Cook.Maybe David doesn’t like Christmas music that much.
I love Christmas music and I especially love Kris singing Christmas songs.I really don’t think it’s some career defining move.

  • elliegrll

I think TYC has a cohesive sound to it but I agree that Kris can pretty much write songs in any genre. I think he really likes many kinds of music and is knowledgeable in many kinds of music.

I agree.  I remember him saying that he had to fight to get LYA on the album.  It’s a good song, but given the country elements that it has, I can see why the label didn’t think that it was a good idea.  Labels aren’t crazy about letting artists dabble in too many different styles, even though Atlantic has been very open to letting Bruno Mars explore different sounds, even though in interviews he always mentions that A&R executives have been very reluctant to let him do what he wants.  There are a lot of indie artists who can’t easily be categorized, and they have managed to build up a small, but loyal cult following.

  • tripp_ncwy

I thought Kris said in the interview that he wanted to write pop songs. So I think he has set on his audience & sound.

  • elliegrll

I mentioned Cook, because someone on the first page of the thread was talking about wanting him to release a Christmas EP.

I’m pretty sure that you just echoed what I said.  The EP is for existing fans, and I don’t have a problem with that. I do hope that Kris has realistic expectations about how many people will buy the EP.

  • Pippygirl

I think so too, but I also think he could write music with artists from genres other than pop and do it very well.

  • nyc57

From the interview,it doesn’t sound like Kris has any expectations. It was simply a fun thing to do for himself and his fans.Kris seems like a pretty realistic person to me.

  • elliegrll

The word pop isn’t very descriptive.  As Jamie Foxx told Kris, or someone else from season 8, Pop really isn’t a genre.  People create whatever type of music fits them best, and hope that a mainstream audience will embrace it.

  • http://twitter.com/Miztig Miz

Isn’t Cook an atheist and doesn’t celebrate Christmas. Reason #1 why he wouldn’t want to do a Christmas album.

  • Incipit

Isn’t Cook an atheist and doesn’t celebrate Christmas. Reason #1 why he wouldn’t want to do a Christmas album.

No, Miz, he is not an Atheist.  DC not only makes sure to have time off to celebrate Christmas with his family every year, he talked last year about the possibility of putting on the Santa Suit for his nieces and nephews. IDK if that happened. *snerk*

But he doesn’t actually talk about religion, never did. Perhaps you are recalling an old MySpace where he posted he was an Agnostic? He just said he wouldn’t be doing any Christmas albums, back in 2008..and that was that.

  • standtotheright

I do hope that Kris has realistic expectations about how many people will buy the EP

If it’s a couple of guys with guitars and piano and tracking in a home studio, which makes fidelity easier to achieve, then he’s already baked in realistic expectations on the cost side and won’t need much revenue to match or exceed that.

I think it’s fun for him. I hope it will be fun for his fans.

  • mzhallcat

For me, the reason Kris is doing a Christmas ep is quite simple. As mj said in her post, he really LOVES his fans. His fans have been requesting a Christmas ep since season 8. This ep is simply Kris “giving back” to his fans.  Kris has a lot of shows this month. As a fan, I appreciate his taking time out of his busy schedule to do this for me.

  • EmmaCT

Okay – is there an mp3 of this performance until he records it and we can buy it?

  • http://twitter.com/Miztig Miz

Ah, I suppose it was ‘agnostic’ that he said. I just remember him mentioning it in an interview a few years back.

  • http://MJO judes

I hope Kris’s Christmas songs are released on i-Tunes elsewhere like Michael Johns did with his EP for fans! It gets really frustrating with idols on large labels whose songs are not released here in Australia but Indy artists with less restrictions are. I hope Kris now that he is free form RCA & 19 ‘s clutches can make that happen if not with the Christmas music then with his new album. You would hear me cheering all the way to LA & back!!

  • too-cool-for-school

Thank you for the interview, MJ! I’m really excited for him and his future now.. he seems very at peace and happy about what is to come. The Christmas EP will be awesome, too.
