Kelly Clarkson Covers Madonna’s “Crazy For You” (VIDEO)

Kelly Clarkson covered the ultimate prom song, Madonna’s “Crazy For You”, in Bossier, Louisiana recently on her Stronger tour.

Of course, Kelly was about to share the Super Bowl stage with the Material Girl, which prompted Kelly to talk about her a bit. She was hoping to hear some of the “old stuff” at her half time show. (Which we did!)

Kelly called “Crazy for You” a “skating song” and recounted how she “never fit in” at middle and high school. “Wha wha!” she teased.  Kelly…you’re so cute!

Check it out below. It’s a fun performance.

I love both Kelly and Madonna, so this had winner written all over it, and as usual Kelly delivered.

That was too cute.  I didn’t fit in either, especially in middle school so I can relate.  Loved the cover!  Thanks mj.

Great song.  Nostalgic.  Love all of these cover requests by Kelly!

Haven’t heard this song in years. She did it justice!

So when do the fans vote on these covers and how much time does Kelly have to prepare?

Fans tweet suggestions to her for the show they are attending with a certain hash tag and I believe she picks/rehearses them basically the day of/before the show.

It’s cool to see her sing Madonna a week after singing Etta James, two artists she covered during her idol audition ten years ago.

    The day before? That’s impressive!

I truly wish she’d release video recordings of these covers.  They have all been such fun and a few of them incredible.

Kelly is a cover queen. I would be first in line to buy a cover CD by Kelly. I need Up to the Mountain, Why, I know You Wont, Lies, and Walking After Midnight on it.
