ngl, that video is awesome and Jordan looks amazing.

Umm.. wow, they must have had a small budget for this video or something. Something about her in the grass just seems kinda cheesy and when I first saw the smoke, I was just thinking that it looks like smoke coming from a bbq in the park.

  • LakesideUK

    Hmmm.

Not much to it, but she’s a beautiful girl so it works well enough.

  • blmetsfan

You’d think they’d give her a little more budget for her videos. This looks like it cost them a couple hundred bucks.

  • smilepretty

All these epic ryan tedder songs never get the videos they deserve: bleeding love, apologize, halo and this one. I do like it though, even if its not what i expected. She is definitely becoming a beautiful woman though!

They’ll have another chance with Kelly’s next single and the very similar Already Gone

I love this song, but I don’t really get how the video “goes” with the song at all. Jordin in the grass, Jordin in a car, Jordin walking on a field at night in a long black dress with smoke all around her… this all relates to talking about love being difficult and always turning into fights… how, exactly?

But yes… Jordin is amazingly beautiful, as always.

Jordin in a car, Jordin walking on a field at night in a long black dress with smoke all around herà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦ this all relates to talking about love being difficult and always turning into fightsà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦ how, exactly?

I think she’s on a battlefield? Like…if the battlefield was actually my local sports complex on the fourth of July. Maybe the townies from the east and west sides of the river are fighting over where the new hospital is going to built or something.

I still thought it was cool, because she’s so ~dramatic~, it totally suits her. Like..even if she was going to get a coffee, she’d start singing about how it was too weak with this look on her face:

Jordin’s I Will Kill You Face

Jordin is so beautiful but that was one boring video.

  • leome

You’d think that with hit singles they’d put a bit more thought in her videos. That was a really boring one.

She looked beautiful, and the second half of it is a bit better… but still, gets a big fat meh!

  • Tony

This reminds me of “Tattoo” I hate it now, but I know I’ll like it later. lol

  • jdanton2

i think the video is great . love the lights and fog effect and Jordin looks great . since last week when the preview of the video came out and today the song has had a really big gain on itunes .it is currently #51 and is gaining real good at radio as well.

  • milly93

mehh… the second half was better than the first half because it vaguely resembled a battlefield, but wtf with the car and laying on a field in the first half? they missed an opportunity for something creative and battlefield-related… instead all it basically is is jordin staring at the camera dramatically. not that that’s a bad thing, but that’s no substance for a music video…

First part was poorly thought out. Looks like they did the storyboard in reverse. Where they ended up was great, but where they started had little to do with where they finally ended up at. Loved the white dress. Would have liked a light to dark progression instead of the flipping back and forth. My main dissatisfaction is they made it obviously Disney friendly. Was hoping they move her out of that market now that she is of age.

lollllllllllll. Too funny, cc. I agree that it suits her ability to wring every ounce of drama out of a song. Hee.

I do love the song, and have already downloaded it. Just not loving the video so much.

I read somewhere that record labels were cutting way back on budgets for videos, and I think we have Exhibit A here. Colored lights and smoke don’t cost a whole lot. And I thought it was a car commercial for a minute — wonder if there was a product placement fee? But she sounds and looks good.

  • phoenixml

I think that the second half was very powerful. Yes, it was simple, but it was also visually stunning, and I’m not just talking about Jordin’s beautiful face ;-)

  • WestiesRule

Sometimes less is better. It’s hard to take your eyes off of her. She really is becming a stunning beauty.

  • amethyst02

It reminds me of Leona Lewis’s “Run” video, without the smoke.

Simple but pretty epic in its own way though.

  • houstonrufus

She is a lovely girl with a lovely voice. And I like the song. I may like the song more than the vid, though. The concept here feels very “first take” or something. But she sells it well enough.
