Jessica Sanchez dropped by Z100 in Portland, Oregon, to chat will Maui and debut her new single, “This Love”!
The singer is in town to perform on Saturday (11/15) at the Girl Scout sponsored event, Girl Fest, which takes place at the Portland Expo Center and features tons of fun activities for kids. Tickets are only $15.
Jessica will hold a meet and greet at 11:45 am, followed by a concert at 3.
“I’m doing a lot of things right now, and I’m only 19,” Jessica told Maui, “I’m just really happy…where I’m at right now. I’ve been working on my new music, I actually have a song here if you want to play it!”
Jessica describes her new sound as “an urban, kind of pop thing…” The new music shows “who I really am.” The singer explains that she did a lot of ballads when she competed on American Idol in 2011. “I want everyone to know that I’m still young…that’s why I love doing stuff like …Girlfest…”

UPDATE: Here’s the official audio: “This Love” is produced by Mark J Feist for Real MF Productions. Interscope is nowhere to be found on the credits for the song. I think we can finally assume that Jessica and her label parted ways.
