Adam said in his interview with Michelle at Best Week Ever (best interview ever, except maybe Lyndsay’s at Yahoo!Music) that there was someone he didn’t get along with, and he would tell everyone after the Tour. It’s either Sarver or Gokey (maybe both?), not that it really matters at this point. I hope they get this crappy Hi-Fi situation out of the way. Of course, Want is already up on YouTube. Adam sounds pretty good on it, but since there are no lyrics aside from people loving each other, it’s not exactly a memorable song.

I believe Danny and Adam when they say there is no drama between them and that they are friends. I also think that it is cute that they are now following each other on Twitter. I think that Danny’s Tweets to the other Idol contestants like Anoop and Matt are funny and entertaining. I think that he will be sending some entertaining Tweets to Adam as well.

I think it’s quite possible to disagree on things, but still be respectful to one another and remain friends. Adam and Danny are probably never going to be best buds, but I’ve really never believed they’re sworn enemies either. From outward appearances, they always looked to get along. It’s a good thing they addressed it though because I think it’s got to feel a bit awkward being together so much and the rest of the world presuming you despise one another. Plus, the rumors and gossip have been getting a bit out of hand.

I still think it’s Sarver that has the problem with Adam and the one Adam likely doesn’t warm to.

Happy Birthday, Kris! Hopefully everyone has a great time at the party. Anoop tweeted that today is a day off, so that’s cool…hopefully they can all get some rest.

I’m happy Kris is going to get twitter — easier to keep up with his career that way. I would guess his management/label and/or the other Idols convinced him to get an account so that his fans can follow him. It’s also a good way for all the Idols to keep in touch once they go their separate ways after the tour ends. I would still tend to think that he won’t be tweeting all that much, though.

I believe Adam and Danny are friends and figure Adam either doesn’t talk much with Sarver or is just ok with him.

I remember there being a rumor that Megan said she didn’t like Sarver, so it’s possible that is who Adam is referring to as well. That said, while I don’t think Danny and Adam are best friends, nor ever will be, if they are going to put up a united front right now (whether mandated or not), then I wish the whole thing would just get dropped. Adam’s obviously not going to talk about it right now and if he wants to after the tour, he will.

I love Alex. His twitters are so funny. He also did a guest shuffle for Castrocopia a few weeks ago, just like our own MJ. Awesome kid.

Oh, I think they have always been friends. And I think Adam was too busy with all he’s got going on to know the scope of the problem…and that’s why the tweet was late coming.

Honestly, if Danny was that big of a creep, the others wouldn’t like him either. He seems to be pretty well liked by the other idols…with three of the other guys including him in their “closest” list. I’m absolutely sure he’s not perfect, but I’m also sure he’s not the jerk that he’s been made out to be.

I, too, hope we are on the path to a more pleasant concert/tour experience. I, for one, had almost decided not to go because of all the negativity.

I’m not crazy about Gokey or Sarver based on previous remarks they’ve both made but I’m not about to start a twitter campaign over it. The gokeyisadouche drama was pretty amusing and a true spectacle to behold but I’m glad it’s blown over.

My take: they probably get along fine, but aren’t especially close. IMO, I don’t think either one of them would appreciate having the other “booed” or otherwise disrespected at the tour.

I bet Gokey is relieved that all the noise over the Hi Fi release knocked the “gokey is a douche” meme off everyone’s radar over the weekend. I still get steamed when I think about him and his family, and I still plan to fight homophobia, in big and small ways, wherever I find it.

Scott had great things to say about Adam during his exit interview. I think it’s Sarver – I have never seen Adam goof around with Sarver in any of the clips or behind the scenes footage.

I think it’s because while Scott was talking and talking and talking (lol) on LKL, both Kris and Adam shot each other a look. I saw it too. But then again, they could have been just making fun of his cluelessness, and not disliking him. Who knows? I don’t hate Scott at all, but he does come across as a bit arrogant and high on himself. I might be too if I had gone to college at 14 or so.

I don’t think Danny is the one that Adam does not get along with. They actually seemed to treat each other fairly warmly, if anyone had the opportunity to rewatch the show, they’d see this.

I do think it’s possible that it could be Sarver….and for that matter, it could be over by now. Who knows? I just know that Adam’s brother made it well known that he didn’t like Michael. And yes, he picked at Danny’s singing, but when the whole Danny/Michael video showed up, Adam’s brother did not get “mad” at Danny, but rather Michael. He said, “Gokey seemed like he was kidding.” But he said “Michael is a dick.”

This leads me to believe that Adam had not said anything negative to Neil about Danny, but perhaps he did about Michael. But for what it’s worth, even Neil Lambert said that he didn’t think Michael “hated gays.”

Again, whatever happened, it could be over. Maybe there was some sort of misunderstanding. I don’t think, because we don’t know any of them, that it is fair to jump on a bandwagon of hate.

I know what he means, but he probably can’t escape it. In no time flat, it seems everyone expects celebrities to twitter constantly about every move they make and breathe they take (as the old Sting song about stalking goes)!

Twittering can getcha in a lot of trouble, as it has with some politicians, because it’s so reductive — no space to explain anything, and a lot of things can be misunderstood. also you gotta wonder if it’s interrupting the organic flow of life if you’re constantly thinking about describing how you feel, what’s happening, etc. Maybe too much self-consciousness, and not enuf just being?

In any case, Kris is such a cool cat and diplomat, he’ll probably master it quickly and will strike just the right tone…Though I think it’s great in informing people about situations like the current Iran uprising, when all the other media has been shut down, on a personal level I’m a Twitter Resister myself! :smile2_ee:

I guess this is a YMMV thing. When I saw it I thought that it was just a Kradam fan that wanted to get Adam somehow involved with the project (and a nice prestigious RS cover was the way to do it). I didn’t infer any sort of slam. I saw it as a shout out. LOL. Where one person sees an adoring Kradam fan, others see sneaky put downs. Yeah, the community that put together that Kris b-day video are Kradam fans, so there is no way they were trying to put down Adam. They just wanted to get Adam in the video.

I think that Internet idol fans are NOTORIOUS for “reading too much” into every single idol related thing. Sometimes there is nothing “behind” anything. It just is what it is. But yeah, people will speculate and always hunt for the negative.

I think both Allison and Kris are being forced to get twitter accounts by either 19 or Jive, so I don’t expect them to use them a lot, unless the become addicted.

As far as the video, Adam did lose the title to Kris, so I don’t think there’s anything false or malicious about that picture. I doubt either Kris or Adam will see it as something that was done to be mean.

I can’t agree or disagree with this statement because I honestly only watched Adam’s performance with any real interest. I’ve seen a few of a Kris’ and maybe a couple of Allison’s and Danny’s but it was always the Adam Lambert show for me. Based on the finale I can agree with you because Adam and Kris were the best of the entire group, and some of the others had me cringing based on that one show.

I do believe the person/persons Adam had a hard time with could be Michael or Scott. During the Larry King interview you can read facial expressions quite clearly and Adam did not seem to clinch when Scott was speaking, and he only smirked when Michael was referring to the rooms at the mansion as “they could have their own zip codes”. I do believe from reading previous threads they all had discussions about life in general, Adam did not seem to like where Danny was going about the bible (obviously referring to the gay lifestyle Adam lives), but that comment made on Michael’s video about “In a Godly way” seems like he has problems with it, Adam also said on another thread they all respect each other and learn to get along, as long as they don’t preach and throw the bible thing down his throat, but lean to embrace each other’s differences and find a common ground….and I totally agree with Adam, one can be spiritual but not religious and vice versa, and Adam is a spiritual guy, but not a religious guy – he said that at Young Hollywood Awards interview few weeks ago.

With all the talk about not getting along with Danny etc., does anyone really know the real reason they don’t get along, we are hearing they fought throughout the competition and so on but about what?

Personally, I find it inappropriate that any of them are talking about each other. It’s unprofessional and you can’t always take back what you’ve said or put in print. Words get twisted, thoughts misconstrued and the damage is done. I’m not saying they’re not entitled to their feelings and opinions, but I’d really prefer that they keep it to themselves…at least for now. It’s going to be awkward on tour otherwise and it’s a longgg summer ahead.

That’s unfortunate that Adam’s “tweet” didn’t make it to his followers. I know Danny sent his out to his followers and I read it this morning. I really hope things settle down between the two fan groups before the tour. It would be very unfortunate if there is “booing” at any of the concerts. I do think people might be looking too much into it, mostly because I think if they really didn’t like Adam, they would not have included a picture of him in the first place (and there’s at least one other Adam picture in someone’s background). Also, if you really want to analyze it, I would see it that Kris would be there if Adam has lost his way! hehe.. Also, random people send in different words so the creator wouldn’t really be able to do anything about what order the pics go in.

I agree. Adam and Danny were definately my favorites…with Allison a close third. I really want to have a good experience if/when I go to the concert. I DON’T want to be cringing because someone is getting bood. I also don’t want my child to experience that kind of thing.

Yeah, Adam is very honest. So for those who think his “Danny tweet” is dishonest, I say that he didn’t have to say that him and Danny were friends, but rather could have left it at “there is no drama.” But I do think some have had sooooo much fun hating Danny on Adam’s behalf, that they may go through withdrawal if they aren’t allowed this pasttime. I don’t think you can generalize like that in regards to the tweeters. I think the danny tweet campaign was made up of a variety of people. From what I read, there were many people who were generally offended and enraged by the Facebook posting. These people felt they were making a stand against homophobia, and may not necessarily have been Adam fans. Then there were Adam fans who felt Adam may have been hurt by the Facebook posting, and like angry ma ma bears, they came out in full force to protect their cub. And I am sure there were some people who jumped on the tweet bandwagon because they are malicious. No such thing as black and white in this world.

Also, perhaps it took 24 hours for Danny and Adam to tweet about this because neither one was directly involved with the Facebook posting or the tweeting campaign. The both probably needed to get all the facts and then discuss it with each other. I’m sure if Adam thought Danny had something to do with the Facebook posting, he would have been upset. And I am also sure if Danny thought Adam had something to do with the tweeting campaign, he would be upset. I’m sure they had to air this out between them and come to their own resolutions before publicly responding to it.

I did not get Adam’s tweet about going to Alisan’s show or the Danny Gokey tweet, though I did get his tweet about his music. Not sure what is going on….I am new to twitter and still trying to figure it out, but this seems odd to me. Hope I get his next one!!

I didn’t get Adam’s tweet either because I don’t follow Gokey. It used to be that you can see all tweets produced by the people you follow, but twitter changed that a month or so ago so now you can only see communications when you are following both parties concerned.

I guess this is a YMMV thing. When I saw it I thought that it was just a Kradam fan that wanted to get Adam somehow involved with the project (and a nice prestigious RS cover was the way to do it). I didnà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t infer any sort of slam.

I agree completely that this is a fair interpretation, and it may be the accurate one. Didn’t mean to start a debate, it just hit me blindside (so close to the word “lost” that I had to watch again to be sure that word wasn’t on the RS cover) and stood out like a sore thumb. Though, to me, it is a little odd to display something (so prestigious as a RS cover) about Adam so prominently in a video gift to Kris.

I too saw at least one, and I think two other Adam photos or images in the video background, which suggests some Kradam love as well. I guess it’s sort of like that phenomenon that your eyes will divert to your own name on a piece of paper with all sorts of other writing on it. I saw alot of Adam. LOL

The one Adam’s referring not to get along with can’t be Tatiana. He said in the interview that he would ‘t give the name because they were going to be on tour all summer. Unless Tatiana is going on tour (god no!) he’s talking about someone in the top 10. I don’t know. I doubt that Danny ever thought that Adam might have had something to do with the tweet campaign. Danny may have talked to Adam about the Facebook issue because I feel certain that he was embarrassed by his cousin’s actions. Again, I never thought that Danny had done anything malicious to Adam.

I don’t think that he can be held accountable for his cousin’s thoughts. His cousin also dissed Matt, but we all know that Danny said he is closest to Matt. Obviously, cousin is not parroting Danny’s thoughts. She is his cousin, not a member of his immediate family.

That’s one reason that I cringe when I read, “Danny’s family did this or that.” It’s not like this was Danny’s mother, brother, sisters. It is farther removed than that.

The most I have seen an immediate family member of Danny’s refer to Adam was his brother commenting on finale night that Adam had changed his lighting on “Mad World” from blue to purple, and wondering why…..saying “do not fix what is not broke”. But Adam has also said since that he didn’t get along with someone during the series and Tatiana wasn’t on the show. Yes, Adam probably isn’t necessarily friends with one, or more of the other contestants. Eh. To be expected and I think he’s only really friends with Kris and Allison. All indications from all three of them, are that. Like the Idolatary videos, Kris agreeing the perfect three would have been Kradison, Adam’s words about Kris and Allison, Allison saying that Kris and Adam helped her. Allison saying they were like two bros and a sis in RS and in another interview that they were going out to dinners and movies. Not unexpected or wrong to bond with some people more than others. Not that the others aren’t also friendly, lik between Anoop, Lil and Matt with them. And Gokey and Sarver with the others.

However, some Tweets about how ‘there was never any drama,’ is not something I would take to mean anything. Not really. They have to go on tour, Adam has repeatedly said that he wouldn’t say something against someone before that, and he’d be stupid to. And it’s business, which he knows, and he knows he’s making a public statement with his Tweet. I know I have had to partner with people I actively hated and whom I knew were undermining me, like email proof, but I had to suck it up and deal with it and work with them on projects. It’s what adults do. So yeah yeah yeah, Adam doesn’t hate Gokey or Sarver or anyone because some Tweet said so. Uh hunh. Though probably he doesn’t HATE them. But friends with them? Doubtful. Gokey isn’t Adam’s type of person and I haven’t seen anything or read anything to indicate they really get along or ever will. Same with Sarver. Which again, is fine. We don’t all get along with each other in the rest of the real world either.

Oh and I still think outside of Adam that Gokey and Sarver are homophobic douchenozzles, so I like Adam, but HBIC or no, I won’t stop disliking them for that. But than I don’t email or Twitter my disliking them, so I don’t see how they could possibly know or care.

I think it’s Megan. I have no proof, I’m simply basing it on my gut instinct and what I’ve perceived about her character.

Heh. That’s okay. It was the three who made it through from Group 2, which is why it was Allison, Adam, and Kris. That round of media is where the three of them bonded, I think, and it just lasted through the whole season.

I just don’t quite understand what the importance of knowing which of the idols likes another idol, or which idol dislikes another idol or vice-versa has to do with the price of anything.

I like who I like from the idols and I really don’t care if the one I like actually likes the one I don’t like. I’m not going to be influenced by that kind of junior high mentality. I’ve been reading this kind of stuff for months now and I don’t understand the purpose of it…guess I’m a bit slow. I’ll buy an album recorded by the ones I like and will ignore those I don’t.

Well you are right on this. For me, in the Sarver video, Danny’s facial expression showed that he was uncomfortable with what he had said….and he ended it with, “how do you say it?” But nothing needed to be said, of course.

The comcast thing was blown out of proportion, for me. Danny is not very articulate, and he was trying to type out an answer right fast. I thought that his main premise was that he wanted to accept others and he wanted to be accepted. Imo, that question should not have been asked of him, though. It wasn’t asked of anyone else. And, I think if it was going to be asked of him, he should have been allowed to formulate his thoughts on the subject, and not just have to type it off the cuff so to speak.

But I do agree with you. He made the comments and so yeah, people will make of it what they will.

Which is what I hold him responsible for and don’t like, and no, some Tweet from Adam isn’t going to change how I feel about Danny’s actions. But I do get that Adam is worried that people might perceive it was being done in his name. The MTV article seemed to inimate it was some Adam fans vs. Danny thing from ontd_ai, when while it was the impetus, it couldn’t have gotten as big as it did if ONTD proper wasn’t involved and they didn’t do it for Adam, because most of ONTD dislikes him. Of course MTV also got the “hacking,” into the Facebook thing wrong as well, so there ya go.

I agree. Peeps talking about walking out of the concert en masse during Danny’s set probably prompted some response.

Now, I don’t plan on joining any group protest, but if I need to go to the restroom or I’m thirsty, I don’t plan to sit through his set and suffer either. With Adam coming just after him, I have to be relieved and comfortable. Can’t have any emergencies coming up at that point in the show, can I?!

Why does it matter who Adam — or Kris or Danny or Allison or Matt or whoever — does or doesn’t get along with? Once the tour is over in September, everyone will go their separate ways. They will keep in touch with the ones they made genuine friends with and they’ll probably hardly ever see or talk to the ones they weren’t close to ever again — unless they all run into each other at some Idols-related function! Except for Allison (who seems to be fairly mature and well-grounded for a 17-year-old), these are all adults — they should be able to get along decently for the next few months — and have likely been asked (or told) by management to keep any negative opinions they may have about each other to themselves — at least until the tour is done.

It’s unrealistic to expect a large group of people to get along with each other all the time, especially when being in such close contact with each other over a period of months. The AI8 group have managed this pretty well for the most part. In fact, I think this group gets along better overall than any of the ones from previous seasons — but that’s just my opinion.

Oh — and that was a great fan video done for Kris’ birthday. Very creative. I didn’t even notice the RS cover and what word it was used for, so I sincerely doubt it was meant as any kind of dig at Adam. The person who put the video together is a big KRADAM fan, from what I understand.

I’m hoping to see some pictures from the bday celebration — but I think the Idols have today off, so they may be out enjoying themselves in various parts of SoCal, rather than sitting around thinking about tweeting the fans. Maybe in the days to come we’ll see some pics (if anyone even took any — maye they didn’t!)

Well, the Season 5 boys (minus Chris D.) used to go out after many of the tour concerts and perform together with Taylor’s band. I really think that group of guys seemed to get along well. Not 100% sure about Daughtry, though.

I don’t think Adam’s RS cover with the word “you’ve” coming just before “lost” was meant as any disrespect. I think the fan holding the cover just wanted to involve Adam in the video in some way. The word is encased in a speech bubble to make it seem like Adam was providing that word to the group effort.

I think the video to which you’re referring is one of the extended Access Hollywood clips with the top 10 being interviewed post-finale minus Kris and Adam. Yes, Megan seemed a little less involved than the rest but she was like that for the entire interview, not just the part where Adam was mentioned, so I don’t think you can read too much into her demeanour with respect to Adam.

My understanding was that Chris D. didn’t go out with them b/c he would go back to his hotel to work on writing for the album. I don’t know whether he was friends with any of ‘em or not, though.

I agree that, in the grand scheme of things, it doesn’t really matter whether they are friends or enemies or indifferent to one another. But, a lot of us are craving any kind of information, and this kind of stuff gets gossipped about, and so it’s interesting speculation.

It’s not like I would buy Gokey’s or Sarver’s CD if they came out with one anyway. I will buy Kris’s, for sure. And I will probably download individual songs I like of Allison’s and Adam’s unless I like so many that it’s worth it to buy the whole CD. From what I read from past idols, concerning the tour, I don’t know if there were any fights or people not getting along, but I have heard that there was jealousy from some since the idols might be seeing other contestants getting record deals. Like that example with Chris Daughtry, I’m sure he did get along with them but he might not have been that close to some because he didn’t want to go party- he had to work on his album! I know the jealousy thing wasn’t due to Chris, but it was some other season though. Hope this isn’t stirring up more drama. haha. Anyways, there probably wouldn’t be any problems with Adam and Danny since Adam will be too busy working on the album to see him much.

The cynical part of me does think that 19′s PR team did tell them both to try and put it out there that they do get along. They don’t want to divide up the fans anymore, especially since they want their albums to sell! However, they do have Kris as good PR for them since I think a lot of interviews with him, he’s talking about how they all get along! hehe

But there was drama about Danny long before any stuff about how he and Adam got along, got out there. He was one of the most polarizing contestants, Adam being the other, on the show this season. With a lot of animus about the dead wife stuff and the judges pimping and bad performances not being called out or getting him sent home when he should have. The Idolatry videos, for example, hated Danny (and Adam too for a while) and had nothing to do with Adam personally and I would say that’s typical of a large part of the Danny hate on the internet.

The stuff with Adam is just the latest chapter of it, and when Danny keeps fueling it, it’s going to continue, regardless of what Adam’s nice, politically correct Tweet says. But yeah, I can see that maybe some Adam fans might want to dial back actually Tweeting Danny with calling him a douche. I think it was fine to make it a trend, but actually spamming the idols? Uncalled for.

Oh, I don’t think 19 told them to do anything. I think last night may have been a first nice break for Adam and he was finally really finding out the extent of the problem. I do think they are friends (not best friends, or anything). Rewatching the show where Danny got booted off, Adam is so intent on reaching around Ryan and grabbing Danny and giving a long hug. I just don’t think that he didn’t like Danny, as much as some would like to believe he did.

I do think they are very different and would not probably hook up as good buddies in real life (but really I don’t know this), but I think they like each other perfectly fine. And Danny has always had really nice things to say about Adam in interviews, going back a good ways.

It’s funny, I remember reading a thread on another board from back in March, and people were going off on Danny saying that he had “latched himself onto Adam” because he was standing or walking beside him in so many of the pictures that were made on the various idol outings.

And now you’d think, based on people’s assumptions, that they would be trying to keep their distance. People see what they want to see, I guess.

I don’t follow Gokey and I got Adam’s twitter, so it’s strange that some didn’t get it. Adam’s brother Neil said in a post on another blog that he didn’t like Sharver. He says Sharver made a statement “that where he’s from Gays are either in the closet or dead”. Neil was not too happy about this and was vocal about it. He has since stopped posting on that site altho he was a longtime poster there. I can’t remember the name of the blog but I had mentioned it earlier in a post here. I think he and Danny are not BFF’s but do get along, so that leaves Michael or Scott, and I think he probably is civil to all. I think fans need to act as respectful as the Idols do to each other.

I have been wondering about that quote from Saver. Did her really say that? When did he say that? Did he write it on a forum/blog somewhere? How do we know its him then?

And I have to agree with aek on this one, I think Adam and Danny get along fine. Not really fond of Danny as a performer but he has a beautiful voice.

I don’t think that’s a realistic scenario. Those types tend to think that drama is a good thing. Let’s not forget who created the “guy next door versus the guyliner” approach. But bottom line, I don’t see any reasonable business rationale for why they would care if Adam’s fans don’t like Danny or vice versa at this point.

Adam has said that he doesn’t lie. He has worked with Danny for months now, and lived in the same house with him for a good chunk of that time. He says that he and Danny are friends. I’ve seen them say nice things about each other and show affection to each other, so this doesn’t surprise me.

Adam, interviewed back around top 13/group 2 winners, indicated there was one GIRL that he did not like. All comments since in this regard refer back to that GIRL. The best speculation seemed to be that the girl was Tatiana.

I remember on Larry King Live when Ryan was asking the group about “Bikini Girl” and Adam declined to say anything about her. I wondered why but I didn’t dig around to find out why.So, if he refused to say anything about her I don’t see him saying anything about the Top 10.

I really don’t think Danny has fueled much of the “drama” surrounding him, but I do think some of his detractors have. I mean, at this point every little thing (and I mean every little thing) he says or does is going to be blown up and spun in a negative or “douchey” light by those who can’t stand him. I doubt there is anything he can say or do to change that at this point. Even if Danny and Adam were photographed giving each other a genuine friendly hug, there are bound to be some who refuse to believe these two are actually cool with each other. Why? Because they really don’t want them to be on good terms. It makes for a better story if there is “drama” or bad blood between the two guys.

I do think Adam has other friends in the Top 10, it’s just that he’s closest with Allison and Kris.

I think ità ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s Megan. I have no proof, Ià ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢m simply basing it on my gut instinct and what Ià ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ve perceived about her character.

I don’t know–Adam’s dad wrote something (on facebook, perhaps? I can’t remember) about Adam being sad after Megan was eliminated because they were good friends, and Adam was the one who chose Megan as the “class rebel” during the LKL interview and then was laughing about how awesome her “Simon, I don’ care” moment was. I do agree that her comments during Adam’s video seemed different from the other’s, but they all probably say a lot of things about each other and then the editors choose what makes it into the video.

Also: with all the talk about Scott possibly being the one he dislikes, I went and looked up Scott’s wikipedia page, and I am now confused. How can someone who seems like he must be very smart and musically gifted have been so mediocre-to-bad, both as a singer and a performer, on the show? Odd.

I don’t think 19′s gotten involved in the drama. They only care that everyone is doing their job. I think it’s Danny and Adam that are tired of people making a big deal of nothing. People can disagree on things and still be friends. It’s probably all gone a bit further than either of them anticipated.

All Megan had to say was:

“Adam is different in his style and the way he carries himself and in his singing voice.”

Michael talked about Adam’s positivity, Danny said Adam was fun to work with and brings out the best in people, Scott said the experience wouldn’t have been as fun without Adam. The only one that didn’t really have good things to say was Megan from those interviews. Those thoughts on each other did take place though really early in the season, I think at top 10, so doesn’t mean Megan is the one he doesn’t get along with.

I never really liked Danny after Hollywood Week and started to despise him from the time they were in Mich. I remember the contestants in a car and a young fan girl walks over to the car to compliment Adam eyes. Adam responds that he thinks her eyes are even prettier. Danny is sitting there and yells out “oh, he says that to all the girls”. Not only did he embarrass Adam, he made the young girl feel bad.

So it’s more than Danny’s beliefs that rub me the wrong way. I will definitely be one of those that will be taking a bathroom break for Danny’s entire performance. Sarver’s too.

Agreed. The endless discussions of Adam’s sexuality almost look relevant compared to this brouhaha.

Every adult has colleagues that are just colleagues, not friends that they look “cute” hanging out with. But most of us aren’t put through the microscope that these guys are. I can tell you that I (like most people) have had some colleagues who cost me every bit of patience to tolerate, and nobody’s going to question me about that, or try to guess who that was, or worry over its effect on me, or read more into it than really happened, or make snide comments about the perceived villain. Thank God most of us are left to deal with that stuff on our own.

I think what we’re seeing with Adam and Danny’s comments (and somewhat with the others) is the expected result: the fans are teaching them that they need to be very guarded and circumspect with their comments, because the fans intend to hunt down every comment and make a big deal of it. Why fans want to do this escapes me, but there you go.

Just to be a little on topic: Happy Birthday to Kris and Scott and anyone else showing signs of becoming a grown up. Happy Birthday to Adam’s friend Alisan, who, by the way, has a killer video of Cry Baby on youtube. Happy Fathers Day to any fathers in our midst, and thank you to the fathers of all the Idol contestants I enjoyed hearing so much this season. From what I could see, there were some pretty incredible Dads in the lives of some of these people.

Adam seems to have been taught the maxim “if you can’t say something nice about someone, don’t say anything” Good job, Mombert!

That said, i believe he and Danny have their obvious differences, but they don’t hate each other and would not want the fans to be in a war. It seems from interviews that Adam feels a mixture of pride and some empathy for Danny, the other front runner who he beat out to the finale. Adam’s just too nice a guy at the end of the day to get really hateful to someone.

I would be surprised if that is all Megan said. No doubt the editors took snippets from what everyone said and pieced it together. That’s just what they chose to include from Megan.

I think part of the problem here is that many people have decided (without meeting any of the Idols) that Adam is a supremely great person and Danny is a completely irredeemable douchebag. Theyreach these conclusions from indirect evidence, and refuse to be convinced otherwise, and so any direct evidence (Adam and Danny explicitly saying they like each other and are friends) is discarded because it doesn’t fit their preconceived notions.

EDIT: Accidentally hit submit before I could finish my point. Adam seems like a really cool person, and people also struggle to fit Danny in their predecided “douchebag” box if Adam likes him, because it doesn’t make sense.

From what I read, there were many people who were generally offended and enraged by the Facebook posting. These people felt they were making a stand against homophobia, and may not necessarily have been Adam fans.

Much of the main ONTD community aren’t necessarily Adam fans. The general vibe in that forum often is to poke fun of celebs in a negative sense. There isn’t much of a like for Gokey there (and definitely not in the sister forum ONTD_Ai who are fervant Kradam fans), and the Comcast interview with Gokey kind of sealed the deal for the internet mobbing.

I personally think that all of them get along fine. Some are closer than others, some aren’t, but I’m sure that they all exhibit a professional demeanor with each other and treat each other kindly. Just like a regular workplace, I don’t think there’s much difference except my office interactions sure don’t get the scrutiny these guys do..thank goodness :sealed_tb:

When the season started, I had no preconceived notions of Adam, danny, or any of the other idols (other than the obvious fact that Adam was smokin’ and when he first sang I was mind-blown). I love to just let the season unfold, along with personalities, talent and surprises. I actually really liked danny for a couple of shows, because I tend to favor, in general, gravelly, whiskey-soaked voices. BUT, as danny revealed himself, his character, personality (and there is no need to go over all “that” again!), he became intolerable to me. Self-satisfied, arrogant people just annoy the hell out of me, not to mention the idea that he makes himself laugh so darn much (I’m still l@@king for the humor he finds in himself) is just strange. I noticed that Adam always thanked the judges, was polite, always concerned for the feelings of the others and IMO ended up sweet as could be (with an adorable edge, of course). The hot guy was actually kind and honest and real. I liked that, and still do. Whoever said there was nothing danny could do now to change people’s minds was probably correct, because there is just so much social ignorance and arrogance to undo. Danny’s revelation of himself is what made me go ONHD, but then oh yes he did & still is. I’m glad danny has his fans, I’m just not one of them.

Yes, I remember that. I think it was the Top 13 party, the one where Adam wore a black suit and turquoise shirt. I remember seeing them walking through the party holding hands.

I haven’t read all of the posts yet so am not sure how Adam’s I-tune success relates to twitters about Kris’s birthday party, but I do see that the relationship between Adam and Danny came up in the twitter. I don’t see Danny as a bad guy. All of the other contestants seem to like him alot. I just think some people come across over television on a show like this as a bit full of themselves. I am sure that isn’t the image he tries to project. Also, I think Michael Slezak and his Idolatry really kind of made mountains out of molehills regarding Danny. I remember during Renegade one verse that Kris was singing Danny was looking right at him and they seemed pretty in sync. I actually liked the duet. But, Slezak picked up on that one chorus where Kris was looking right at Danny and Danny was looking out into the audience to find fault with Danny. Kris seems to really like him, too, and has said so in interviews, other than the off handed “jerk” on Larry King that he said in interview was meant to be a joke. It is good that they are all going to start the tour liking each other because it is awfully tight quarters for several months to be with someone daily that you really can’t stand. I’m glad Kris is above this kind of nonsense. Seriously. And Matt, Lil, Anoop, Scott and a few others. Tell everyone after the tour? And get headlines. “Adam Lambert Admits He Didn’t Like…” Honestly, I find it really hard not to think this stuff is calculated to get people talking about him. I like Adam but this is either calculated or childish, I don’t know. It’s just not my style. Too gossipy for my tastes, I guess. I’m getting tired of it.

I’ve been following him on twitter for a while. He actually has some funny videos on MTV, one where he’s driving around LA with Jim Cantiello.

Ross, Adam doesn’t always filter. He is so truthful sometimes, but he is learning and remember Kris and Adam were operating under very little sleep, so I’m sure slips will occur. I’m sure after he said it, it was like Uh oh!!! Put you filter on. So he backtracked. I doubt seriously that it will be asked again and I doubt seriously if he would answer if asked. He will state that they all got along on tour, had a great time and probably say there might have been moments – but there are always moments when you have 10 personalities and 50 concerts in 2 months. IMO, I do not believe Adam is calculating.

Adam is not calculating. He is just not PC all the time. He certainly doesn’t need that to have people talk about him. As a matter of fact, him being so honest, blunt, and childish (which I love) shows that he is not calculating much. Or else, he will try to be PC and not say anything provocative. I really don’t care who he does or doesn’t like or get along with. I refuse to speculate cause it simply doesn’t matter.

I am so glad that he tweeted about Gokey. I really hope he can enjoy the tour and focus on the performance and music instead of fan wars between idols.

In general I think I’m getting tired of the controversies that seem to always be swirling around Adam. I don’t believe it’s just because Adam is Adam. I think he plays into some of it and encourages some of it.

I wanted to make a comment about that birthday video for Kris (which features Ricky Braddy and Alex Wagner-Trugman!). It’s a wonderful video, but holy shit, that song has a ridiculous number of words in it. I think Kris has said as much. Some interview I saw, he said you can’t really take a breath, singing it.

That video really made me see for the first time how many words they crammed into the song. Like, what note does the word “just” fall on?

My problem with believing that Adam could be friends with Danny is yes, part of that Danny does seem like a douche to me, again, separate from Adam as a person, are his statements about gays, indicates a problem with them (it’s a belief; right and godly). So that even if Danny is overall a well-meaning and nice guy in other areas, that is a fundamental and very serious barrier to real friendship. I think “agreeing to disagree,” is about all one could reasonably expect for both men, from both men. Which is fine, they only have to get along professionally for the next few months and than never really have to deal again.

I just want more Twitterpics from them, and ones that involve cute Kradison shenanigans, I really don’t need any more drama and/or PC BS Tweets.

On another note, Kris seems to be spending his birthday shopping at Urban Outfitters and/or Target — there have been at least a couple of tweets posted about people spotting him in these stores today.

Uh huh — well, people often says how Kris is just a regular guy — guess this just underlines that idea. But hopefully his birthday celebration last night was a little more exciting! And/or that he and Katy can have a nice quiet romantic celebration tonight.

I remember the interview. Would he lie and say that a friend was not in his apartment if her abusive boyfriend called looking for her? I imagine he could do that and still feel that he was maintaining his integrity. But to lie about being friends with someone who he actually dislikes? Hardly.

For some of those who thought Adam and Megan didn’t get along. You need to watch some of the end of the results shows where Adam and Megan are together, Adam has his arms around her, and she is leaning into him. They may not be as close as Adam/Kris/Allison, but they were definitely very friendly. I think Kris said the Group 2 people who made the top 10 were all really close.

@smartcookie, Kirsten and JosieX, you rule! I was reading through all these posts and began thinking exactly the same thing. And when the earlier poster wondered about all the controversy surrounding Adam I was thinking, well, if anyone had a bazillion obsessed people (me included) analyzing every word, movement, gesture, photograph, action of a person in addition to every comment by second- and third-parties for months, you can manage to drum up a fair amount of controversy. (And that’s not even touching on the actual “controversies.”)

Hey all… to those of you who have been “monitoring” this Twitter stuff all day… I have a question. (I was reading this thread all day and checking in on Twitter, but it was from my Blackberry cuz I was traveling to visit my dad most of the day. And I’m I’m challenged on my Blackberry sometimes (and still learning Twitter too for that matter.)

Anyway. I thought I saw/read that Danny and Adam were following each other. I just checked… and they aren’t following each other right now as far as I can tell. Also… I see that Danny has some tweets on his “home” page but they do not show up on my page — and I am following him. They don’t look like replies or @ tweets. I thought I had Twitter figured out, but this isn’t making sense to me.

I wonder if Twitter’s goofed up tonight.

And to give my 2 cents on the Danny/Adam friendship. I have always believed Danny and Adam get along just fine. They have both said really nice things about each other throughout the show and after. Danny was actually very complimentary to Adam in his Idolatry interview. I think they may not agree on everything, but Adam has been really clear whenever he’s been asked about Danny, to say that they may agree to disagree, but they are respectful… and they are friends.

Heck, I have several really great friends that I have that same “agree to disagree” thing with. I still love them.

We can’t keep reading into every glance, picture, comment, etc. all these random things and expect to know what we’re talking about. It’s like Adam said with the game of “telephone.” Something starts one way and ends up completely different. I think I saw a comment earlier on in this thead that sort of quoted Adam as saying he and danny didn’t get along all season. Then a page or so later it was picked up again only it was “they fought all season.” (And I’m being bad and not double checking this…. so I’m paraphrasing… hope I’m close, because that would be too karmaish/ironic if my post just contributed — in a negative way — to the very point I was trying to make.)

The top ten Idols are still in the process of their experience. Yes, they have already formed friendships, but those friendships will continue to grow and evolve during the tour and over the years. Maybe the friendship between Adam and the person he doesn’t get along with the greatest will evolve too. For the better, or for worse. We as fans aren’t going to always get to know every detail of who the bffs are at any given moment.

I actually prefer to have limited information about how much they love/hate each other. I really wish “The Best Week Ever” gal hadn’t asked that question. And I wish Adam hadn’t answered as he did because it just will not die. And in fandom world…. that question and answer has really developed a life of it’s own. I hope it goes away. (BTW I appreciate Adam’s honesty when he answered the question… maybe my statement should be more… I wish he hadn’t been in a position where he had to answer that question.)

Aw, that sounds adorable–any results show in particular, BestAI? I do remember that after she was eliminated, she and Adam and Kris seemed to hug each other for quite a while–but it’s hard to tell with the way they edit these shows what’s actually happening.

As for Danny: I don’t hate Danny at all. I think it’s perfectly possible that he and Adam really do get along and even like each other. I didn’t participate in the twitter things because I couldn’t tell if Danny was being malicious or just insensitive. Adam has acted towards Danny in a way that leads me to believe that he at least doesn’t hate him (hugs, etc.), and Danny has sometimes gone out of his way to say nice things about Adam, so who knows. They may be friends, they may not like each other, they may just have that cordial co-working relationship people mentioned–we don’t know.

That said, my problems with Danny’s attitudes towards gay people remain. Black people are not expected to get along with racists. If Danny had said of Lil, “My beliefs about black people being inferior are my beliefs, but I accept people for who they are and I would like the same for me, and we get along,” would anyone be saying “Oh, Danny’s beliefs are his beliefs, and that’s fine”? No. Racism and sexism and anti-semitism are completely unacceptable in (the vast majority of) our society, and that is as it should be. But it is still okay to belief that gay people are immoral, or inferior, or less deserving of rights than the rest of us–and to have those views made into legal policy that negatively impacts the emotional and physical well-being of gay people. Gay people are still expected to accept and respect as perfectly valid counter-opinions the beliefs some people hold about them being immoral and undeserving of legal marriage and other rights. In 50 years, I think that anyone who makes the comments that Danny has made will be looked at with the same disdain that most of us feel for people who are racist and sexist. Believing that gay people are inferior or immoral will be as unacceptable as believing that of women and black people. And I find it kind of sad–really, really sad–that we are not there yet as a society. I still don’t think that this makes Danny a horrible person (his cousin and her friends are another story, but they are not him). I have cousins who believe what he appears to believe, and they are in many ways wonderful people and I love them. Danny seems to be someone that the other contestants mostly like a lot, and he seems nice in a lot of ways. But that doesn’t mean that his views on gay people deserve any more respect, or are any more valid, than any other kind of prejudice. That doesn’t mean we have to call him a douche on twitter–but prejudice is prejudice, and it should be recognized as such.

On a lighter note: I would love to see some pictures from Kris’s party, but maybe they wanted to keep the event relatively private? That might be a good thing for them to keep as much of their lives invisible to the public as possible. But it sounds like Kris had a great time, and it has to feel pretty amazing to turn 24 only a few weeks after winning American Idol–a nice birthday present indeed.

Oh, that’s a given. Everybody hates the Pop-Tart. I think the Pop-Tart even hates himself as he’s dancing around the concert venue. But, I would recommend against burning a Pop-tart. Burning it releases all the toxins. Best to throw out the pop-tart you get without ever opening it.

But, you may be onto something. It may not be an Idol on tour that Adam hates. I bet it’s Roadie #3 that he hates. You know the guy. He’s the one that goes out every three days to get the Costco -sized box of tinfoil to refresh the Idol tour set. Adam has a friend in craft services and he found out that AI recycles that tinfoil for cooking food for the Idol tour. How icky is that? Adam confronted the dude about this practice and he tried to deny it. He tried to claim that 19E makes back it’s money by selling all the tinfoil to people who live on the Grassy Knoll. But, Adam isn’t buying that. He knows that Costco’s tinfoil is really aluminum foil and no self-respecting knoller would make a hat out of aluminum foil (it doesn’t stop the Simon brainwashing waves). Anyway, turns out Adam hates that liar and plans to expose him after the tour.

I don’t think that was intentional, as we (the ones who made and contributed in the vid) were still in a last-minute mad dash of submitting photos and putting the video together yesterday. There were a lot of photos and words, yet so little time, so this was just purely coincidental.

But, you may be onto something. It may not be an Idol on tour that Adam hates. I bet ità ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s Roadie #3 that he hates. You know the guy. Heà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s the one that goes out every three days to get the Costco -sized box of tinfoil to refresh the Idol tour set. Adam has a friend in craft services and he found out that AI recycles that tinfoil for cooking food for the Idol tour. How icky is that? Adam confronted the dude about this practice and he tried to deny it. He tried to claim that 19E makes back ità ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s money by selling all the tinfoil to people who live on the Grassy Knoll. But, Adam isnà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t buying that. He knows that Costcoà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s tinfoil is really aluminum foil and no self-respecting knoller would make a hat out of aluminum foil (it doesnà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t stop the Simon brainwashing waves). Anyway, turns out Adam hates that liar and plans to expose him after the tour.

nope. im still going with scott as the frenemy. i think his constant requests for the chocolate cake were merely an attempt to trigger adam’s ice cream binging so that adam would gain weight and not be quite as sexy. alas the plan backfired and there was just more of adam for us to love.

I am waiting for Matt G’s pictures off the bday fiesta, but since we have not seen them but have seen adorable pictures of Matt at Disneyland, my guess is that the pics were not suitable for the non-Idol community.

I apologize for the whole Adam doesn’t like one of his Tour Mates reference. I agree, it was during a lighthearted moment in Michelle’s interview, and note that it did not come up during Lyndsay’s interview. Interestingly, Lyndsay has tweeter more than once that she DOES like Kris, tho she preferred Adam and Allison over him, and that she really enjoyed interviewing Kris. That will be up on Yahoo Music tomorrow, Monday, which is actually today now! Argh, need sleep!

Now that most of us have decided that it doesn’t matter who likes whom in the Idol community, LOL, we can get back to the music, right? I still wonder what will happen with Hi-Fi Productions and Adam’s “album.” You can listen to WANT on YouTube, so you don’t have to buy it. That way, no money goes into the pockets of the Hi-Fi Producers, and you can listen to Adam’s vocals and make up your own lyrics–heck, take them from NB, there are too many there– and wait for Adam and Kris and Allison’s legit 19 music to come out.

Oh, and the Gardner Museum is beautiful. Definitely visit it if you are ever in Boston.
