Haley Reinhart ‘Lets Loose,’ Raps At Lollapalooza – CHICAGO — Former “American Idol” contestant Haley Reinhart made history among “Idol” contestants on Friday (August 3), becoming the first to perform at Chicago’s famed Lollapalooza festival. “It’s pretty rad, I can’t believe it. It’s so rewarding,” Reinhart told MTV News following her performance. “I’m feeling so honored to be a part of it.” Next up for Reinhart: She is hitting the road in the fall and is hoping to release “Oh My!” as the second single off her album.     wouldn’t mind Nick Jonas as a judge on Idol.. bring in the young viewers.

    love these videos from David.. saw a vid of him singing BSMS  it was quite beautiful and heartfelt.

    I haven’t been paying attention but Lauren’s not with Sugarland tonight at DTE for the Detroit show. Tough to miss these big shows like Aldean and Sugarland, the exposure is immense. Can’t think of any Vonda Shepard songs so anyone expecting Lauren is in for a strange substitute.

    Nope not yet. I just hope an official tour is announced soon, and that it will indeed be in the fall as Haley has mentioned numerous times.

    Honestly. I can’t think of a single performer that I’d love to see Haley tour with. Hopefully her tour peeps have better luck finding a singer or band who’s audience will be a good fit for her, because as of right now my mind is completely blank. lol

    There was just a segment on the women’s gymnastics team during the Olympics and “Home” was played throughout.

    We will have 3 more days of P2′s “Home” being played during the Olympics as they start 3 days of the women’s gymnastics event finals.  Should keep those sales going.

    I’m really enjoying the bts videos of David Archuleta giving us some insight into the making of BEGIN.  Be Still My Soul is a beautiful hymn, very telling as to where David’s thoughts might have been. 

    Some on twitter have said they received there albums today from Sears.  More and more have heard the BEGIN. previews at the Regal theaters.

    I’ll try to catch the Livestream of Gymnastics so that I don’t have to hear that song or I’ll just mute it like all the previous times.

    ETA : I had to watch that Call Me Maybe Collide video just to see Kris.
    Yep, I absolutely hate that song, I’m just in a bad mood, I guess.

    Thank you NBC. I wondered why the song had reversed the drop and was gaining on CMM again. If NBC gives it any kind of promo this week, it’ll def stay in the top 10 on iTunes and platinum could come within two weeks (or sooner).

    I feel bad for her fans,too, but she can not go against her doctors’ order of a vocal rest. I just  hope her fans will understand that she needs the rest or face the consequence. So many artists in the not-so-distant past had to cancel shows because they need vocal rest or worst, surgery.

    So glad some Idols still find the time to connect esp thru their music.

    Most fans are okay as long as they enjoy the show otherwise. Its not likely they will get their money back for an opening act. Concert tickets are super expensive these days and held in central locations so fans may drive several hours, e.g. the article on Scotty fans who drove to the Pig Gig. so performers really are “Wanted Dead or Alive” as Bon Jovi sang. Its a tough spot, being on the road.

    I didn’t see Hicks on Paula Dean’s show, but I can’t stand her.  She kept her type 2 diabetes in the closet until she could get a deal with big pharma.  Plus, she allegedly used the N word in one of her restaurants.  Just Icky.

    I live in the south and think it’s shameful.  So I’m kinda sad Taylor went on her show.

    ETA: There are several dialects in the South. Her particular one is not familiar to me. But, I’m from Bama and lived in Chicago, so what do I know? I know she’s a fake. Not sure about her speaking voice being fake.

    ETA2: Yes, everyone is in charge of their own health, but for her to make a deal with a drug company is just greedy and misleading to her fans.
