Gwyneth Paltrow Sings “Forget You” on the Glee Tour!

Gwyneth Paltrow stepped back into the role of Holly Holiday to perform “Forget You” with the Glee kids on stage last night in New Jersey.

Filming for the Glee tour movie began yesterday in New York, so you can pretty much assume Gwyneth’s footage will be included. Why else would she do it…right?

Check her out below. I’m surprised this vid hasn’t been pulled by FOX already

Cool! I liked Gwyneth’s appearances on Glee. She sings well live too.

This tour really makes me wonder sometimes. I saw the show in Detroit. Dianna Agron was not there, and we don’t know why. So we didn’t get her and Chord singing “Lucky”. And apparently they cut “Don’t Rain on my Parade” and “Friday”. So our concert was like an hour and a half, barely. Now the New York/NJ concerts get “Don’t Rain on my Parade”, “Lucky” plus a bonus with Gwyneth Paltrow. I understand having to miss a show, but they keep changing things. We missed a lot of the show!

@blowfish, I think you are being a little bit unfair to the cast. The NY/NJ show that I want to last night was awesome. But it was essentially the same show they put on in every city they go to. We were just lucky that they were taping the movie so we got guest appearances from Jane Lynch and Gwyneth Paltrow live. Lea requested that Don’t rain on my parade be cut to preserve her voice. And I was concerned for the cast last night; they all sing their hearts out and really do need to take care of their voices. The fact that Diana Agron couldn’t make it to your concert was obviously just a fluke thing that happened; she obviously was either not well or had obligations she couldn’t get out of. It’s the same thing with Broadway shows. Kelsey Grammar missed the performance of La Cage aux folles, that I went to. So we got an understudy instead. There was no advance warning but I still enjoyed the show. Friday was cut last night also. It’s part of the encore, which I think means, they can choose whether or not it will be included on any given night.

With such a demanding concert schedule, it’s not surprising the kids could get sick as well. Chord tweeted on June 1st that he felt ill, had a fever and could barely stand. I don’t think he missed any concerts though he apparently did sit out the group numbers in Indianapolis.

Gwyneth’s voice is ok here, but her moves are seriously awkward and clumsy.

I completely understand someone missing a show. These people are being worked like crazy! I get that.

My issue is that different from a Broadway show, when someone is absent from this show, there is no understudy, which I wouldn’t expect. However, this show is not that long to begin with (again something I understand, they are running around that stage like crazy). We had 4 songs cut because of Dianna being gone and the decision to pull 2 songs. That’s all.

I can certainly understand why you would be disappointed, Blowfish! Especially for what they charge for a ticket.
