David Archuleta’s new “Everybody Hurts” music video is out now! Watch it below. The song is from David’s lovely album of covers BEGIN.

The song was recorded with an orchestra which included producer Kurt Bestor. The shots of David were recorded in a studio the day before he left on his LDS mission.

    Clearly?  The topic was David’s video of Everybody Hurts.  He left these messages to help Fans know what his thoughts were as he chose to do a Mission.  He also wanted to leave us music and let us know he will be doing music when he gets back.
    Like Sam I assumed you were comparing the Videos too, since that is what this Post was about.  So no it was not Clear.  (now it is loud and clear)

    Wow! I hadn’t yet listened to this version. Love it! David’s voice is just beautiful.

    David has a wonderful voice and does the song justice. 

    I have to say I like the original song better BUT, David’s voice is beautiful and the video very touching (brought tears to my eyes).

    I have always liked R.E.M. and the song, but I do like David’s version better.  His voice is stronger, and I hear more emotion.  I also love the positive ending to his video.

    All David is doing is giving his best to pay tribute to the song. Like some have said before me, he’s not making covers to make better versions of the originals. You don’t have to put down David’s or the production team’s effort to make your point that you like the original better. 
    Just have seen some defensive-sounding comments or comments like “REM’s will always be better, his sounds like blah blah blah” in sites not just this one.

    There is a big launch event in the Philippines tomorrow for the release of David’s new album.  It is put on by Ivory Music and Video with Astrovision Robinson Magnolia and Odyssey Megamall participating.  Ivory Music put out his Forevermore album.  Pretty amazing how they support David over there.

    Perhaps, eventually, he’ll have that same appeal in the states that he has internationally.  Just love hearing you say his appeal is increasing.  To me, he is so much better than Beiber (totally different, of course).  I believe that the BEGIN. album and Forevermore album are finally the kind of music David needs to do.  He’s just not the Pop type.

    i agree and would love to see a “Broken” video.  I’m so happy that His song is so good.  I hope it will bring him more popularity  (especially here in the USA).
