FYI: Dancing With the Stars numbers are inflated by pre-emptions for Monday Night Football. Expect likely downgraded adjustments this afternoon. The show’s 2.6 rating in adults 18-49 will likely end up somewhere in the neighborhood of last season’s premieres (2.1 in fall, 1.8 in spring).
The finale of So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation garnered a 0.6 for FOX, up 1/10th from last week. SYTYCD ratings didn’t not markedly improve this summer with the kiddie format. We’ll see if FOX renews the show for another season.

The season premiere of “Dancing With the Stars” predictably came down from its early ratings Monday, thanks to pre-emptions for “Monday Night Football” in Washington, Pittsburgh, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
The good news for ABC, though, is that the 2.1 rating in adults 18-49 for “DWTS” matches last fall’s debut and is up 0.3 from the show’s spring premiere.
