Thanks for posting!!  I DVRed for Scotty’s performance…he wasn’t on until around 10:30, almost a pimp spot:) and too late for me.  I love Kimberly Perry’s introduction for Scotty and the fact he got an interview spot–and that he was interviewed by fans when no one else was:))

I think he did a great job with Trouble and am not going to worry that they highlighted his one cover.  He did a great job and showed a different side that most people hadn’t seen.  Think positive.

I agree. Even though they showed Scotty performing a cover, IMO it was a good choice. It showed that Scotty can sing more than ballads & traditional country songs that some people have pigeon-holed him as & is more than a “Josh Turner wannabe.” It showed he does have a rockier side that could influence the type of material he has on the 2nd album.

Carrie did an amazing job on “Blown Away.” IMO she has one of the best voices around not just in country, but in all genres.

1:45 to be exact. Before Alan Jackson and Brad. :)

Scotty was absolutely in his elements singing TROUBLE. He rocked it. Hope he has more of the same on his Sophomore album.

As a matter of fact, he can probably sing just about anything (well maybe Rap would be weird) and sound amazing.

In the meantime, BRING ON THE CHRISTMAS ALBUM.

  • Amir Hazwan ?

Wow Carrie. Why are you SO good?!

  • toother

Scotty’s performance of “TROUBLE” was well worth the wait. Love him and his band. I thought  all the show was pretty good. Used the remote on the one song  and two other’s that I do not like to listen to.Tuned in the VOICE to see what was happening. Loved when Blake bought out his ACM award to show to the contestant. I guess he considers it the most important award he has won. Fan’s support not………………..

  • Lexie O’Neill

When I have time, I’ll go back and watch both of those favorites of mine:))  Thankx.

  • flactyguy

Scotty and his band were really rocking on Trouble. He may be “traditional” country, but he can hold his own with anyone on these type songs!

  • SaSa8

I thought Scotty and his band were great!  Wow – he really showcased how talented he is, what a great voice he has and how much he has grown since Idol.  From some of the Twitter comments I think he impressed folks.  Thanks for posting the videos Windmills.  And as always, Carrie did amazing also.

  • fuzzywuzzy

Not a country fan (especially traditional), but Scotty impressed me with his performance. That song was very different from his own singles. Good job!

  • therivermaya

Thanks for the thread and the vids Windmills.

Waited through almost the end of the show last night to catch a glimpse of Scotty and it was all worth it.
I feel like a proud Mama watching him perform – he looked and sounded great!!!

  • wutwut

I loved the answer to the what did you buy with your big paycheck question, that he bought some chicken lmao

  • Erlinda

Love love Scotty rocking that stage. Look at those hot babes having fun dancing!

  • scm101

Scotty – well positioned in the ranks of Country music greats. He was in his best elements. Love it ! Hoping that he gets to record a song similar to Trouble’s tempo. He has improved so much in his performance…his band is great.

    Carrie was awesome too.

Thank you Windmills for posting the videos.

Granted, it is a unique song choice for this youth choir. But I  just
love those young voices…. and  I think the young singer, Allie, has a
more authentic sound to her version than Carrie.
