Straight from the Opry stage! Carrie Underwood taped a performance of her touching song, “Nobody Ever Told You” from the country star’s latest album Blown Away, for the Muscular Dystrophy Association telethon. Extra added goodness: Ex-American Idol judge, Paula Abdul, introduced the song! The MDA telethon aired across the country Sunday night.

If you want to donate, check out MDA.org.

Cute American Idol alum couple, Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young introduced another Opry performance from Luke Bryan. I’ll throw that video in as an extra!

As a matter of fact–watch Carol King, One Republic, Wil.i.am, Hot Chelle Rae, Pitbull, Gavin Degraw and MUCH MUCH MORE on the MDA You Tube Channel.

Kind of topical in light of Hal David’s death as it relates to Carole King and the comment you made about Carole turning 70 years old.  It’s interesting (to me at least) that Carole King worked with Bacharach and Hal David during the late 50′s early 60′s in the “music factory” known as the Brill Building in New York City.  Carole was part of probably the most magical period of music creation with the most talented and legendary group of songwriters/musicians ever co-located in one place.  Who you ask?  Well. . . . how about:

Bacharach/David, Neil Diamond, Paul Simon, Neil Sedaka, Boyce and Hart, Lieber and Stoller, Bobby Darin, etc.

    Tapestry was no fluke.
