Go Carrie. She’s really using her celebrity in such positive ways. Awesome

Here’s a partial video of the Jesus, Take the Wheel + How Great Thou Art performance. The sound isn’t the best, but I just love, love, love when she performs this. She proudly proclaims her faith. I’m not surprised she always gets a standing ovation after. Here, people were standing up to applaud before she even finished :)

This tweet from one of the attendees says it all:

Carrie Underwood just KILLED it at the Nashville Rising Benefit w/ How Great Thou Art!!!! The Bridgestone Arena is now a Church!

It’s interesting to note that the tweeter @InternAdam is NOT a Carrie fan. Far from it, actually. :p

carrie is in a real good place – great career, impending wedding, continually reaping the respect of her peers in and out of her genre for being an all around, or rather well rounded person and performer. she represents the alums very well, and it’s good to see her being rewarded for all that hard work she has put in.

Here’s Undo It with pretty good audio.

By the way I heard Tim Mcgraw’s band backed up most if not all the acts last night so kudos to them for learning all those songs.

Here’s The Boot’s full recap, act by act

The first two acts set the tone for the night. Carrie Underwood earned the first standing ovation after rocking out to her new single, ‘Undo It,’ along with a medley of her first No. 1, ‘Jesus, Take The Wheel,’ and the gospel classic, ‘How Great Thou Art.’
