Speaking of Idol….there will be a 4th wildcard spot and fans can vote!! Looks like it’ll be a TOP 14 tomorrow. :)

  • Wfish88

Wanna not spoil things on NON SPOILER threads. Really annoying, and people don’t appreciate it.

  • JTN

That’s just a rumor. It was just a poll on the Idol website.

  • Birdiex

Its not real, for one the booted idols are back home, so they would have had no time to practice.

  • Blirel

    where did u find that

  • Blirel

could u link me to the poll

  • mjsbigblog

That’s just a fun poll on the American Idol site for fans. If it were true, there would have been a bigger announcement.

  • Blirel

could u link it to me also i have a few questions

  • Jeremiah

It’s toward the bottom of the homepage.

  • JTN

    It’s on the website;
It asks who you would give a wildcard spot to.

  • Blirel

excuse me could i plz ask u a few questions

  • Roimeister

without song spoilers, would anyone watch?

After watching the first promo, I just have to bring this subject up: I
really like Sam, but whats up with his smile? He halfway-smiles like the sides of his mouth cant open completely? Does anyone know if its shyness, or actually a physical condition with the mouth? He’s a great singer, and seems humble…. but the smile is important as an Idol contestant….it definitely limits his on-screen likability if the smile seems strange. Maybe a maxillofacial therapist can help-?

  • Chris

I would not be surprised if it is actually real. You said “If it were true, there would have been a bigger announcement” is dumb. That’s the whole point of a surprise. Prbly like 85% of the show’s fans don’t go on the website so most would be surprised they do do it. It would be Spencer by the way. Spencer and Briana are tweeting like crazy. It would be kinda cruel if it wasnt real

  • Chris

Who. Gives. A. Fuck… Kid can sing and is likable. He can get his teeth fixed later. Many of the contestants undergo makeovers after i.e. Carrie underwood & jennifer hudson

  • Chris

Your comment* not you said….. Also Per Blankens is all about twists so why not a top 14… Adam Lambert said something like “I was talking with the producers. The show has a lot of surprises and twists coming up this year. Fans will love it..”

  • mjsbigblog

It would be really really really dumb to have a vote for a 14th contestant that nobody knew about.

Believe me. It’s just an internet poll, not an actual thing.

  • ohreli

Before anyone else gets really mad at me: I personally don’t care about his looks! That’s why I am bringing it up…cuz its Idol! I think it is naive to think that that how you engage the viewing public with your face/smile doesn’t have an effect on votes! There may be a simple fix, and I just don’t want him to be at a handicap because no one wanted to bring it up…. (If I remember correctly, the producers apparently realized in the middle of the competition last year that Candice could benefit from something that I think basically amounted to smiling lessons. The rest is history….)

  • Liteasy

He’s young and is probably shy but will open up more as the season goes along.

  • Guest

    That’s so mean…LOL jks xD

  • JustJam

Well Idol did say that they were ‘full of surprises’ this season. I voted for Briana Oakley btw. Thanks for letting everyone know! :)

  • ohreli

I didnt reply to you earlier because your comment was deleted, but I see your comment has magically reappeared…not sure why….anyway note that I did reply “to myself.” if you want to see my response. Anyway, I. Get. That. You. Disagree. At least you didnt “yell” at me with all capitals! lol

  • ohreli

Maybe its just shyness, not a physical issue. We’ll see. I guess the reason I bring it up is because he is one of my favorites, but—forgive my if I am wrong, but I think that singers that project a lack of confidence dont do that well on Idol.

  • ohreli

I’m much meaner in real life. ….totally serious. jk lol

  • Swind

Nice video. Wow, this makeover really works for Malaya. Lose the braces and give her some contacts and she’ll be almost unrecognizable lol.

  • Swind

I wouldn’t jump the gun yet on comparing Sam Woolf to Carrie and J-Hud lol.

  • MickeiKnight

So Alex, you think you’re better just because you weren’t a wildcard? That doesn’t guarantee squat. You’re mostly in because you’re a WGWG that didn’t give people Lazaro flashbacks (cough-Spencer-cough). Go talk to Pia when she got eliminated standing next to Stefano; the Grim Reaper of wildcards; which means—if you didn’t know—if you were standing next to him in the bottom two, there was a good chance your were packing your sh@t.

    Good luck.

  • CanadianLady

All along, Alex has said he didn’t expect to get the next level because he’s weird and different. I took his words here to mean that he was completely shocked that people actually voted for him, and he didn’t have to rely on the judges to wildcard him. I certainly never thought he was throwing shade on anyone else.

  • CanadianLady

I never got a lack of confidence vibe from him. Maybe a bit of uncertainty about the whole Idol thing, but not a lack of confidence about his singing. I think he’ll be fine. He’s the kind of person who, when he does smile, can light it up.

  • MickeiKnight

Well he got to the next level, and his head swelled up a bit. His words, “I wasn’t even a wildcard, I was voted in by America.” So I guess that maybe to him there’s an Idol hierarchy: those who are voted in, and those, like C.J,, Kristen and Jena, are tier 2 because they advanced at the decision of the producers, I mean the judges.

If he can out-sing everyone else without the guitar being less of an enhancement and more of a crutch, then more power to him. I think that he will make the tour, but not the whole thing.
