American Idol Top 7 Attend the “17 Again” Premier in Hollywood

I must say this is one funny looking group. To me, none of them, except Adam and Kris (and Megan when she was on) are good looking.

Zac Efron is too pretty. Too Ken-doll-y for me.

Oh, I think Matt is the only one that is not very good looking, the others are ok. But I guess compared to last season… yeah, not so pretty.
Anyway, seems like a movie I’ll never watch.

I think Matt is attractive. I don’t think that is a very flattering picture of Anoop though. The drop-deadness left with Megan.

I love the way Adam poses. Adam and Kris are very attractive. Kris is a hotty. Danny actually looked good without his glasses last night. Matt looks good when he smiles. I have seen some photos of Matt when he is not smiling and I think he more attractive smiling. Kris is always smiling or laughing. Allison sometime looks older than her age in some of the photos. It’s hard to believe she is 16 sometimes compared to Archie’s 17. Lil look good last night even when she was ANGRY! lol

Kris is about 5’8. 5’9 is the average height of men. But he sure is a hotty. Archie was like 5’5 or maybe 5’6. I rather have short and cute/hot, than tall and ugly…lol I always thought Archie was the cutest.

I think they all look cute. Much better than the top 13 party. I think most of them have grown into a good look for them.

I don’t think Kris is that great looking. I think it’s the fact that he’s a musician that makes him more attractive a la John Mayer. He’s probably around 5’6″, cuz he looks short next to Ryan, and Ryan can’t be that tall himself.

Adam isn’t my favorite, but he is definitely the best looking of the bunch.

I clicked on Anoop’s picture. BIG mistake. I felt like his eyebrows were gonna jump out and get me. I’m still a bit shaken from it.

Lil (and her wig) are currently invisible to me. She has no place on idol, as far as I’m concerned.

Kris and Allison look cute. Danny looks ok, but I like him with the glasses.

Adam looks better when he doesn’t use a trowel on his makeup. Danny reminds me of Seth Rogen. I think Lil is an attractive woman.

Archie is like 5ft 7′in, I know this because I have met him. I am 5ft 3in and he was about 4 inches taller than me and I think I found that somewhere too. He has grown a little since idol. I think Kris is the same height as Archie or shorter. It’s all good they are both cute. I think they all look great, some better than others. Adam always stands out in any photo.

I thought Michael Johns was a pretty attractive guy last year, but other than that, I didn’t find the male contestants particularly good looking at all. Hmm, I guess Jason is kind of cute too in his own special way. Still, I think Kris could easily hold his own with last year’s crew in the looks department. He’s sufficiently handsome for a tv talent show in my opinion.

I will cosign the opinion that Ace is the cutiest cutie patootie the AI stage has ever seen though.

To me, Matt, Anoop, and Lil are unattractive.

Season 7, on the other hand, was full of eye candy. Remember the Top 4 boys? Sigh.

Ace is definitely one of the best looking Idol guys ever. For the girls, I would say Megan and Kat McPhee.

I’m not about to start calling this group ugly, but I think in part it’s more noticeable because last year’s group was so ridiculously good looking and telegenic as a whole.

The only one that looks like a star or even would stand out in the crowd is Adam. He is just a commanding presence. The only one I find totally unattractive is Matt. Danny is the runner up. Adam is the best looking, then Lil. She can’t dress worth a damn but her face is beautiful. I think Anoop is good looking, I just think his brows are a bit distracting. Kris is average to me. Not hot, boy next door bland. I know ymmv. Allison looks like a cartoon character, that shock of red hair is distracting, but she has a cute pixlie like face. See her always makes me smile. So overall they aren’t bad looking. Last year however, many of those guys were model/matinee idol cute. Michael Johns, Jason, David A, Cook, after the makeover, all just classically attractive. Brooke, Carly, Syesha, Rami, KLC, I could see why this year would pale in comparison.

I don’t have a problem with the looks this season. What’s good looking to some aren’t to others. I find Anoop as attractive as Kris in his own way. I don’t find Adam or DC particularly good looking but Michael Johns beats everyone for me. There’s been a lot of pretty women along the way.

The only person that I find to be very good-looking in that photo is Adam. That being said, I think he looks best without all the makeup. He looked so natural during his performance of “Mad World” last week.

It looked like a few guys had haircuts this week; Matt’s hair was shorter, and either Adam’s hair was styled slightly different or he got a few shorter whisps cut in his bangs, which I like. Danny actually looks ok with a bit of stubble, but I’m used to him with glasses, and that’s his trademark. He was the only obvious attempt at change in the appearance department, imo.

I’m not saying that I don’t like Allison’s hair, I think it’s kind of funky and fits in with the “rock” chick” personna, but does anyone wonder if the stylists have mentioned anything to her about changing it up? (And, I don’t mean the Pebbles Flintstone ‘do of a few weeks ago.) Watching David Cook’s transformation last year made me wonder if anyone in this season will undergo the same transition. Adam doesn’t count.; I think he has a lot of different looks in his bag of tricks. Wonder if he’ll come out in a ‘fro for next weeks’ disco week?

Slezak keeps saying that ANoop should get a buzz cut, which would really be different. Trying to imagine…..

I’m voting for Zac Efron next week.

Well, I don’t really think any of them started out as freakishly bad as Cook looked in his audition. So, I”m not sure that kind of transformation has been necessary for this group.

I didn’t realize that everyone thought Season 7 was such a good looking bunch. In fact I remember during Top 24 I was saying “There’s no eye candy!!!” I actually thought Luke Menard was kinda cute and Michael Johns too, but now I hate that style. David Cook was not attractive to me at all until he got his haircut. Jason Castro had the pretty eyes, but that was it. Archie’s cute in a little kid cute kind of way, but everyone got better looking as the season progressed. (I don’t feel like commenting the girls)

Well, about these pictures. Adam looks amazing. But I don’t find him hot or attractive. Maybe it’s because he’s gay. I think Allison is really pretty (: The pictures of Matt and Anoop are very unflattering. These guys have good pictures and bad ones. I’m starting to doubt the stylists though, they aren’t making Anoop look any better! I don’t think Matt’s attractive but he’s not ugly either. I think Danny’s ugly, but that’s probably just because I don’t like him to begin with, plus he looks better with glasses. I think Lil looked better during her audition than now =/ I hate the wigs. Her normal hair is so much better. I think Kris is really attractive, and not just in comparison to the other 6.

Ace (post-haircut) is definitely the hottest thing ever to grace the Idol stage. Yowza. And he seems like a funny guy, which always gets points from me.

With this crew, I agree with the prevailing wisdom that Adam & Kris have it going on. Kris is too adorable. Adam is just too. :wink_wp: According to my daughter, Adam is “omgsooooohot.”

Allison isn’t conventionally pretty, but her personality (you know, the one Simon says she doesn’t have) makes her a cutie.

Also, I think that he would look even better if he didn’t wear as many layers as he wears on stage.

Yes last years group was for the most part pretty, Kris IS kinda average but cute, Danny not too good looking, Matt, it depends on what pic you look at, Lil is a nice looking lady, Anoop is just ugly and Allison is pixie cute but the hair ugh.

Oh Adam has beautiful and piercing blue eyes and I love him but with him it also depends on what pic with him, if I find him attractive or not.

I’ve been wondering why there haven’t been any real makeovers yet. There is always someone who goes from blech to wow. Why aren’t they doing something – anything – w/ Anoops eyebrows? The girls are getting no style change except for hair extensions. Stylists are spending all their time playing w/ Danny’s facial hair.

So, my longstanding opinion is that season 7 was the ultimate eye candy smorgasbord. Cook has an innate charisma and sensuality and still waters run deep vibe about him, gorgeous eyes and maybe not classically handsome but very very striking facial features that the camera just adores (and he totes reminds me of Ewan McGreggor, my favorite actor, yeah I said it), Jason is very pretty AND quirky which is an awesome combo that’s not often found in nature, Michael is teh hottness and has a sexy accent and is pretty damn funny to boot, Archie is the tween idol unthreatening kind of cute and lovable. A flavor for everyone. And the girls were pretty, too.

Ace is pretty in a bland way and he seems like a nice dude. I don’t know much else about Season 4 or 5 because I didn’t watch, otherwise there’s no other season that comes close to 7 IMO in the eyecandy department. As for this group, Adam is hot and the guyliner/emo/glam thing works for me but I mostly want to go shopping with him, Matt oddly always looks better in a hat (and sings better in one too) and Kris is definitely a cutie, especially when he smiles, but not overwhelmingly so. Aw, nothing wrong with freckles. Adam is good looking naturally but the make-up just makes his skin look worse than it is instead of doing him favours.

Kris is a really likeable guy but I can see why people say he looks like a monkey – a cute one though. Anoop and Danny are just goofy. Matt’s not my taste…

Awww, I thought David was adorable with the pink loctopus (stegopus?), but then again I thought he was battng for Adam’s team back then, LOL. Both DC and Adam really impressed me with their overall comportment during the audition process. They both had the raw ingredients, but their personalities are what made them attractive to me. I still love them both. Class acts IMHO.

I think Adam has experienced some breakouts during the season (I’m talking skin now), but I think a lot of what comes across as “bad skin” is just some serious freckles he’s trying to hide. While I love the black hair, I kind of wish he’d find a nice dark shade of auburn that wouldn’t force him to try and hide the freckles. He’s probably kill for DC’s ghostly complexion; and DC would no doubt love to have Adam’s thick head of hair!

Especially after showing the video of his play, Matt reminds me of that one smarty pants kid from Full House that was Michelle’s friend. He was in the Little Rascals movie too. And, Kris reminds me of Eric from Head of the Class. Talk about major 80′s tv flashback.

Adam looks like the long-lost Kardashian sister.

I found season 7 overall much more attractive. This season, I only find Kris and Matt attractive, with Kris’ attractiveness coming from his looks, and Matt’s from… strangely enough, his piano skills, and his voice and rhythm– when he’s not sucking, of course LOL. It’s similar to DC last year– his performances made him attractive, though the hair cut DID NOT HURT. I also found MJ attractive, though a bit old, while Jason was adorable, and Archie even more so. Even Chikezie had that cuddly bear thing going for him. Danny looks like the Pillsbury dough boy version of RDJ to me, Anoop can be geeky-cute if they just fix up his hair and eyebroww– oh and the strange upper lip sweat thing during performances. Adam is a Monet to me. He’s good looking from afar, or when he’s bathed in blue light, but not in HD.

As for the girls, Megan’s pretty but her annoying schtick thing made it hard for me to like her. Last year, I thought Brooke (except for appearing a tad skeletal at time) was just a beautiful ray of sunshine. Syesha is incredibly attractive– hot, even, and KLC, even though I did not care for her, is like the epitome of girl-next-door pretty. Rami is adorable, especially her smile. Carly, depite looking weird when she sang, has pretty features that photographed well at times.

And, Kris reminds me of Eric from Head of the Class. Talk about major 80à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s tv flashback.

Personally, I think the stylists this season are slacking off. Most of these contestants look like they’re doing their own hair, makeup and clothes. Not that that is automatically a bad thing, but IMO, Scott could have used some help, as could Allison’s hair, and Anoop’s eyebrows. This season, Megan is gorgeous, Alexis is pretty, Kris is cute in a boy-next-door kind of way and Adam with his jet black hair and intense blue gaze is attractive. Everyone else falls somewhere in the middle-of-the-road for me. As for S7, I think everyone in the top 10 was attractive in some way.

Going into last season I thought Michael was the best looking and DC was a hot mess. Between his audition and Hollywood, he really was a mess. Then somehow by Top 12 week he started looking better while IMO Michael started looking I dont know, old? Then they put him in that dumb ascot and DC was given the haircut heard around the world..yowsa. What the stylists did to him over the course of the season was amazing.

I think Adam is very attractive without all the makeup. I can understand him wanting to hide the freckles but like last night for example it was just too excessive. He’s got pretty eyes and doesn’t need the overdone eyeliner.

Kris is adorable.

I don’t think this season is bad-looking. I don’t find Adam hot, probably because he’s gay, but he’s a very nice-looking guy. I think Paula described Kris the best when she called him “sexy-adorable.” Anoop, Matt, and Danny are just your average guys to me. Nothing wrong with that. I think Allison is very pretty and she has an awesome personality (yes, Simon, it does exist). Lil is pretty, too, although I wish they would pick a wig and stick with it.

As for past seasons, I think S7 was the best-looking. I don’t understand the hype about Ace. I don’t think he’s hot. Nice-looking, but not hot. JMO

None of the kids this year need bags over their heads, although S7 probably beats S8 out for overall gorgeousness. I wouldn’t turn down a hypothetical date w/any of the guys, though of course the two hottest ones are married, and gay. :glurps_tb: Plus they all seem like sweethearts (yes, even Danny, when it comes down to it), which goes a long way in my book. And talent is hot.

Its true, S7 was just a really good looking bunch. Also while Archie seemed like the baby cute one, he does have some amazing facial features. There was a reason why he was the only one with the head shot in the Elle magazine photoshoot.

I wasn’t saying this crew is ugly either. They’re not. Though Kris is a weird one for me. He’s really cute, but not particularly striking. I’m not sure he’s the guy that would ever particularly stand out in a crowd. Stick him in last year’s line up with made over David Cook, cutie Archuletta, Aussie MJ and Jason with his big ole eyes of blue, I’m not sure he’d be getting quite so much attention for his looks.

Hmm. Adam’s ears have always looked like they had plugs in them, but in those pics, they really look like earrings.

Weighing in on the makeup/skin issue:

There are some super HQ AI-related pics out there that show that Adam does have a lot of pockmarks on both sides of his face. I’m not going to post them because I think that crosses a line for me personally. Heck, even posting this feels a little mean, but I’m sick of the debate about it.

But here’s the thing – he has pockmarks. So what? I still think he’s ridiculously hot. Who among us doesn’t have some skin imperfections?

I do wish he would occasionally look a little more natural like he did in his auditions. I have seen rehearsal pics where I thought the look was really nice b/c he didn’t have his makeup on yet. I think he’s beautiful when he looks natural like that, and he caught my attention in a big way when he walked into that room for his audition.

But, perhaps he’s not wearing makeup because he wants to cover up his pockmarks or his freckles. Perhaps he’s wearing so much makeup because he likes it. He likes makeup. He likes dress up. It all fits within his character.

Maybe he is doing it to cover things up. I don’t know him, so I don’t know. I just wonder if he’s just doing it because he likes to!

The other thing is that the natural audition look doesn’t necessarily go along with any of his performances – even TOMT or Mad World. But I wouldn’t mind it on results night sometime.
