After last night’s reveal, the American Idol 12 Top 10–Curtis Finch, Jr., Angie Miller, Candice Glover, Devin Velez, Amber Holcomb,  Burnell Taylor,  Kree Harrison, Lazaro Arbos, Janelle Arthur and Paul Jolley–headed to a party at The Grove in Los Angeles. Check out the photos below.

    It’s still so weird that there are only 10 of them.  And I’m really missing any rock/jazz types this year.

    Actually they all seem nice, wholesome and god-loving. Is there enough variation? I’m keeping my hopes up that it doesn’t mean dull, too.

    Almost entirely not serious thoughts from these pictures:

    -I kinda joked to myself “My two favorite guys, Devin and Paul, are gonna be FWB by the end of this season”. I do see some crazy stans turning this awkward hand grab into extremely graphic adult fanfiction or into some Kradam-esque fandom. Remember when Adam said “I like the top” referring to bunks and the two giggled like dirty-minded little boys? That was funny.
    -Everybody seems to want a piece of Lazaro, including Kree, Paul, and Janelle. Even Lazaro looks like he wants a piece of himself. Or he has an upset stomach.
    -Lazaro and Paul vaguely resemble each other. Nice sneaks, Lazaro :P.
    -Burnell shouldn’t wear glasses. I think he looks more presentable and more awesome without them.
    -Kree is actually pretty. She kinda has a “plain Jane” look to her, and I think she pulls it off.
    -Amber and Candice are also pretty in their own ways.
    -I actually like Angela’s hair like that more. It’s almost…. edgy. ALMOST.
    -If you look at Angela’s top from the right (or wrong?) angle, it looks like her top is see-through and she’s just wearing panties and extremely high dominatrix boots under it. Maybe that’s just me, though.
    -OMG. Curtis almost looks like…. Genghis Khan or something.
    -One of the more serious thoughts: Where are Randy and Nicki?

    I imagine he’s trying to be more prominent in the photo by standing that way we see more of his total body rather than just head and shoulders… all at the expense of the girl next to him (Amber?)… looks to me like someone has been watching top model!

    I’m somewhat underwhelmed by this bunch. I’m surprised they put through mediocre singers like Paul, Janelle and Amber. Then we have Curtis, which we already know what we can expect from him. I’m done being taken to church, I think god has better things to do than watch AI lol.  Angie needs a new hairstyle, bad!  I dunno, I guess I might be getting jaded.

    But seriously it is quite amazing that America voted three gay guys to the finals. Let’s hope the producers (Nigel) won’t try too hard to make them act straight.

    I kinda feel the same way, actually, but overall, it’s somewhat underwhelming but not bad, especially considering how much worse this Top 10 could’ve been. I don’t think Paul and Amber are mediocre singers, but I totally agree about Curtis and somewhat about Janelle.

     lol, THREE gay guys?  Try all 5…I’m friends with an eliminated Sudden Death contestant (who is also a gay male) who told me that of the top 10 men, only 4 were straight.  And, lol, the men voted through were 5 of the 6 gays.

    The females could really benefit from a Hayley Reinhart/Alison Iraheta type.  They are all great singers, but it would be nice to have slightly more variety.

    Um… Don’t mean to sound shocked but whaaaaattt? I agree with the rest being mediocre, but Amber certainly is one of the best vocalists Plus very marketable contender in this top 10. I actually prefer her voice/sound to Candice. She sounds like a mini-Whitney or Etta James when she sings. She needs to sing more jazzy version of songs like what she did with Funny Valentine.

    could you all not stop talking about gay thing it’s so annoying, why not talk about the music and songs and performances and not focus ont the sexuality of the contestants ?

    Mediocre singer?!  Amber is easily one of the most gifted vocalists in the group.  Her vibrato is out of this world, and her technique/breath control is that of a professional.   I think you’re nuts honestly..
