Adam Lambert attended the VH1 Do Something Awards Sunday night. After walking the red carpet, he and actress Rose McGowan presented the Do Something Style Award to Tyra Banks.

Adam was also nominated for the Do Something Music Artist Award, which, of course went to teen singing sensation, Justin Bieber.

Demi Lovato performed her powerful single, “Skyscraper” at the awards, prompting Adam to tweet her a sweet  compliment,  “@ddlovato sang her face off tonight. Damn girl!”

Glee star, Jane Lynch hosted the awards, set to air on VH1 Thursday August 18 at 9 pm.

    I personally love his look. I love the eye makeup, agree not so much the eyebrows, but on camera at a distance they look great. He always dresses for the occasion, this is VH1. I love the necklace. I am excited he got the recognition for his charitable acts. I’m sure he’ll come up with something grand for his next birthday. Hey love’m or leave’m the gloves are Adam!! One of the most important things is that everyone who meets him always says what a nice and gracious person he is. He really is a class act-just with green highlights!! I wish his next album would hurry up and appear!!

    Side Note: Girlygirl- any news on Kris Allen’s album other than he’s working on it? Release date or season even?

    That’s true, but I can’t help wondering if it’s Bieber or Bieber’s handlers who are at the bottom of his charitable efforts. Those things do look good on his resume. There’s no question in my mind where Adam’s actions are coming from. However, the results are still the same no matter what the motivation.

    Adam has said in a Twitter party that his gauges are zeros and will stay like that.

    Got curious about the gauges so I found this discussion thread on AO according to which Adam said in the Out interview they were #2 and to a fan last summer that they were #4…

    Well depending on the timing of those announcements, he could be trying to shrink them- 0′s are HUGE. I would be suprised if he could get them from a 0 to a 4 but it has been done. You just slowly start wearing smaller ones. Some people have surgery. Like I said- he looks like he is between a 4 and 6 now ( size order is actually reversed- 0 is the biggest, 10 the smallest)

    Well the Twitter party was like 2 months ago because he talks about Sauli and the new album, so maybe like May when he was in New York and bored. So that’s the most recent one and he said zeros. I went to check it.

    Although he might just be confused about the numbers, I don’t know.

    Man, I’d wish he’d be less secretive and let us know something about the new album. I need a single date, or a title or something so bad. We don’t even know if he has done the album photoshoot yet. I’m getting anxiety.

    As I said on the Headlines thread last night, I was hoping that Adam would pull an upset victory over Beiber and Gaga, but I knew that it was a long shot, given the size and level of commitment of their fanbases in an online popularity vote.

    But since the Do Something Awards are about recognizing people who are doing good things and making a difference in the world, the big deal is to be nominated. And for that, I say Good for you, Adam, and good for the rest of the nominees as well. :-)

    Adam’s gauges went from a 2 to a 0 — during a Twitter party he said that he won’t be making them any bigger; he didn’t say anything about trying to shrink them right now. According to this chart, a 0 is 8mm, or about 1/3 inch (which doesn’t seem huge to me — I’ve seen guys with much bigger gauges):

    I read another article that 0 gauges are the largest you can go without requiring surgery to close them up. So that might be the reason why Adam is sticking with 0 — if he changes his mind about the gauges in the future, they can close up much more easily.

    Thanks for the best-dressed lists, lovingadam. Always fun to see Adam getting kudos for his style on those best-dressed lists! And he definitely brought the style last night.

    I liked what VH1 had to say under Adam’s picture:

    Glambert can do no wrong in our book. His sense of style is entirely his own, and we wouldn’t want to see him dressed any other way than this.

    I love it that they love him!

    Adam looks great as usual; he knows how to dress for each event he attends. I too think that it is an honor just for him to be recognized for his charitable work. He is so humble because he gives a lot of kudos to his fans for making the charitable contributions successful. As soon as he came off AI and saw that he had such an influence, he used it to give back and has been doing it ever since. I respect him so much for his generosity, for having a big heart and for being grateful. He is a special person.

    I love his eye makeup!! It’s different and the fact that he doesn’t play it safe makes me love it even more! The necklace is stunning and it pulls the whole outfit together!

    I prefer his Equality Award look with less prominent eyebrows. His natural eyebrows are beautiful & he doesn’t need much enhancement. But he’s always fascinating and I love most of his “looks”. Gorgeous guy.
