Adam Lambert dropped by the Jay Leno Show and was asked the typical questions about his childhood, theater background, feelings about Paula Abdul and thoughts on the AMA controversy.

Seriously. Letterman would ask better questions. So would Conan. But, whatevs…

Adam talked about his younger brother, Neil, “He’s quick..he knows a lot of things, and he’ll be the first to tell you about them.”     Also, Adam cleared up a few rumors.   He and his Dad aren’t feuding post AMA’s (really? that was a rumor?) and Adam hasn’t started that makeup line yet…

And Adam is into “safe plucking.” Ha.

Jay wasted no time offering his own opinion on the AMA kerfuffle–he   raised an eyebrow at ABC’s shocked, SHOCKED reaction to Adam’s performance, hinting that ABC probably enjoyed and promoted the controversy.

Meanwhile, Adam continued to maintain a positive attitude about what went down with ABC.

“They were backed into a corner,” said Adam, readily admitting that he threw a few surprise moves into his live performance.

Afterward, Adam performed his single “Whataya Want From Me”. And it was good.

Check it out, after the JUMP…

WWFM is growing on me. I want to request it on radio. Any peep from Chicago knows if any of the local stations add the song? I know some gave it some spins but i don’t recall any of them officially added it.

I couldn’t take my eyes off Adam when he was talking to Jay Leno. Now, as I think about it, it has been the same in all his interviews, no matter with whom. Adam really is that’ radiantly magnetic’ energy that attracts people. I enjoyed hearing about his job at Starbucks, his brother Neil, leaving college etc- something new and different for a change. And, as always, Adam is good-natured and openly honest consistently. I simply love him.

BeckyMD, Chicago has STILL not added WWFM. I guess it will be mid January at this point. It is getting a few spins at night (but not a lot) from WTMX (The Mix). I don’t know if KISSFM has played it at all yet.

I know Chicago is slow for new artists, but this seems ridiculous.

My little sister who is staying with me for Christmas, just asked me if I was “attracted” to Adam…. I’m like no, not like that…. I just adore him….

    crappy connection last night…

this performance was more subdued than usual… still, very pleasant vocals… i miss the “it’s me” falsetto… mr. lambert spoiled me on that one with 2 of his previous reprises =)

Not sure if this has been posted already or if this is the right place.. Warwick Saint posted these behind the scenes video snippets of his photo shoot with Adam with commentary:

All the request lines and online voting requests get pounded by fans ‘” no matter who the artist is. I think it is more a matter of daypart.

Just looking at the two big Top 40 stations ‘“ Z100 and KIIS-FM Los Angeles ‘” they are both spinning WWFM a lot a night but not too often during the day. So if you listen to 3 hours of Z100 in the afternoon, you probably won’t hear Adam.

Q3 – What is daypart? And why do they mostly play it at night on most stations when barely anyone is awake to hear it? Thx for answering!

He is an interviewers dream, lovely interview and performance – Jun – daypart is shows airing in the day, prime access -shows right before prime, late fringe is shows after prime, etc. In my area, I hear Adam every morning, at lunch time and at night. I think it depends on what area but for the most part – in radio, as in TV, logs are run the day before or days before and the times are set for songs to run each day. Requests are done in a certain time and songs placed here and there but mostly it is all preplanned.
