Scotty McCreery reveals to CMT radio that he was accepted to all 4 schools he applied to, but has ultimately decided to accept admittance to North Carolina State University in Raleigh–hid Dad’s alma mater. He may transfer to a school in Nashville after 2 years.

Brad Paisley has announced 43 date second leg of his Virtual Reality tour, and like the first leg, American Idol winner, Scotty McCreery will be one of the opening acts, along with The Band Perry. Easton Corbin joins the tour on select dates.

Scotty McCreery was featured in an interview that aired this morning on The Today Show. His tour opening for Brad Paisley, his whirlwind life since Idol, and continuing his studies were some of the topics of conversation.

Scotty McCreery has been named, along with Hunter Hayes and Brantley Gilbert as nominees for this year’s AC New Artist of the Year. Scotty McCreery just scored a sweet promo opportunity! He’ll guest star on the CW’s “Hart of Dixie” the spring! In the episode, set to air on April 23, Scotty will be playing himself, singing his single “The Trouble With Girls”.
