Nicki Minaj Cancels Shows in England Due to Strained Vocal Cords – Roman needs some more time to reload! Rapper Nicki Minaj “regretfully cancelled” shows at the V Festival in England this weekend. Diddy – ‘American Idol’ Is Gonna Have to PAY ME! – If you thought “American Idol” forked over big bucks to land Mariah Carey … they’re going to have to back up a bank truck to Diddy’s front door to get him to sign on for next season. Diddy is the latest superstar rumored to be joining the show since the departure of Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez. Jordin Sparks Recalls First Meeting With Jessica Sanchez, Whitney Houston – LOS ANGELES – “Yes, I have actually met Jessica Sanchez,” revealed the bubbly and charming Jordin Sparks whom we interviewed recently for her latest movie, “Sparkle.” “There is a picture of us floating around somewhere from when I won ‘Idol,’” Jordin, now 22, revealed. Jordin, who won the sixth season of “American Idol” at age 17, is the youngest winner in the history of the top-rated reality talent show and remains as the most recent female to win the title. She continued, “Jessica was probably, maybe 11, I think. And there’s this picture of us. We both look so little. She showed it to me, because I performed in the finale this year as well. She was like, ‘Look at this picture!’ I was just like, ‘Oh my goodness.’ She is so sweet. She is so tiny. But she is very, very talented. Her voice is so amazing. Box Office Report: ‘Expendables 2’ Tops Friday With $10.5 Mil but Trails 2010 Film – Sparkle, Whitney Houston’s final movie, grossed $4.55 million on Friday and earned a glowing A CinemaScore. The film is expected to post a weekend gross in the $12.5 million to $14 million range. The remake of the 1976 film stars American Idol winner Jordin Sparks, Derek Luke, Mike Epps, Cee Lo Green, Cameron Ejogo and Tika Sumpter and is about three sisters who form a singing group in Detroit during the Motown era.
