She was just two slots shy from making it onto the air. But, producers asked her to return the following season to try out again.

“I thought that made no sense, ” she said. “If they rejected me this season, what makes them think that they will considering me again in six months at tryouts?”

Original “American Idol” Kelly Clarkson recently told fans (via Facebook) that she “can’t wait to find a man who thinks [she’s] freakin’ awesome!”

With a breathtaking voice and over 23 million albums sold, the question is – why is the superstar singer having trouble in the relationship department?

Live: Tony Bennett at Staples Center

Tony Bennett did what he could to turn a sports arena into a cabaret Saturday night as the singer headlined a benefit for AARP’s Drive to End Hunger initiative at Staples Center.

Bennett was no less generous during Saturday’s duets, first with Underwood on an appealingly Patsy Cline-ish “It Had to Be You, ” then on “For Once in My Life” with Wonder, whom Bennett called “the greatest entertainer in the world.” At Wonder’s apparently unplanned request, the two singers also ran through “I Left My Heart in San Francisco, ” Wonder offering up a tart harmonica solo that drew an appreciative chuckle from Bennett.

Kristin Cavallari’s ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Rehearsal ‘Sweaty But Fun’

Kristin Cavallari may not have started out as a dancer, but she’s definitely a quick learner.

On the season 13 debut of “Dancing With the Stars” last week, the 24-year-old former “Hills” and “Laguna Beach” starlet wowed the judges and audiences alike when she shook her way through the cha-cha, proving she has more to offer than just reality-TV drama. MTV News caught up with “DWTS” pro Mark Ballas and the former reality bad girl, who stressed the show’s grueling (but fun) rehearsal schedule.

Cheryl Burke: Low Scores Motivate Rob Kardashian

Last week Rob did really, really well on Dancing with the Stars. I’m proud of him! He’s never danced in front of anybody or danced period, so he did a great job. And his whole family was there to support him, which was really nice. He was happy with his performance, but I don’t think he was happy with his scores. I told him it’s better to start off low and improve every week.
