‘American Idol’s’ Constantine Maroulis withdraws from musical ‘Breaking Through’ – Constantine Maroulis, the pop singer and “American Idol” alumnus, has withdrawn from the world premiere production of “Breaking Through,” a new musical scheduled to debut at the Pasadena Playhouse this fall. The company said that Maroulis is withdrawing due to “personal matters” and that he will be replaced by Matt Magnusson. The production is still set to open Nov. 1, with previews beginning Oct. 27. A spokeswoman for the playhouse declined to elaborate on the reasons for Maroulis’ departure when reached by phone. – Read more at the LA Times
