Update: Ken Barnes from the USA Today Idol Chatter blog is reporting that Jordin Sparks’ album release date is scheduled for November 20.
Today marks the day that Season 6 contestants are released from their contracts with 19 alphabets! We know that Jordin Sparks inked a deal recently with 19 recordings/Jive recordings (she’s the first Idol not under the RCA/Clive Davis umbrella.)
According to the NY Post, Blake Lewis signed to Arista last month, but no formal announcement has been issued yet.
To celebrate, Chris Sligh has posted posted some demos on his My Space, which I have not had a chance to listen to yet (work beckons, I’ll listen later!)
Now that the Season 6 kids are out from under 19, hopefully there will be more news on the Idols’ future plans. That Blake Lewis press release should be coming any day now…
