Dancing With The Stars – Top 9 – Results – VIDEO

ETA: Now with added video: Los Vivancos!

Rocco and Karina are eliminated tonight.

Tonight’s episode was super-duper filler filled. A mini-ballroom competition featuring kids was started, and as one who generally finds kid actors annoying rather than cute, I could have done without that entire segment. I have to say, though, the mini-campaign commercial spoofs featuring the contestants were pretty clever. I’ll see if I can string a few of those together and post them here.

So I got ALL my points in the pool tonight, as did a bunch of other MJ peeps. Rocco’s elimination was a foregone conclusion, as was Lance And Lacey’s fierce Tango being chosen as the judges encore.

There were two performances tonight. Los Vivancos burned up the stage with a flamenco number that was hot hot hot. Those boys can dance. And Ne-Yo danced and sang as he performed his mega-hit “Closer”.

Cloris and Corky joined Rocco and Karina as the Bottom 2 vote getters were revealed for the first time this season. Will Cloris and Corky finally be eliminated next week? Maybe not if Cloris goes back to concentrating on the comedy rather than worrying about her technique.

Next week, 4 new dances will be introduced to the competition–The Hustle, The Jitterbug, The Samba and The West Coast Swing.

Live re-cap and videos after the JUMP…

Tonight, Ne-yo and Los Vivancos perform. And for the first time, the Bottom 2 will be revealed… Remember, last week’s scores and votes will be combined with this week’s scores and votes.

Tonight’s Judges Encore: Lance and Lacey’s Tango. A no-brainer…

It’s filler time! I approve this message…ha ha it’s a send up of campaign commercials featuring the dancers…

Samantha chit chats backstage with the stars! The kids are nervous.

Flamenco Dancers Los Vivancos perform. And they’re hot. Unfortunately, I did not get a video due to technical problems. Sorrow.

Shirtless!

The results begin as Susan and Tony and Lance and Lacey are declared SAFE.

Safe:

  • Susan and Tony
  • Lance and Lacey
  • Brooke and Derek
  • Cody and Julianne
  • Toni and Alec
  • Warren and Kym
  • Maurice and Cheryl

The Bottom Two:

  • Rocco and Karina
  • Cloris and Corky

Next, are a couple of overly-cute ballroom dancing kids, Jessica and Mitchell and Hannah and Kirill. The judges “judge” the performance, but not really. Seriously, these results could be done in a half hour. Really, it could. After the break, the kids are interviewed backstage. Kirill and Hannah advance to the next round.

Jessica and Mitchell:

Kirill and Hannah:

Ne-Yo performs his hit single “Closer”. And I did get a video. This is one of those Top 40 songs I don’t switch off my car radio.

Len discusses the new dances, The Hustle, The Western Swing, The Samba and The Jitterbug. He’s excited! And after another fake campaign ad, we’re backstage again with Samantha as she interviews the couples who are safe.

Finally, more results. Brooke and Derek are safe. So are Cody and Julianne, Tony and Alec, Warren and Kym and Maurice and Cheryl

After the break we find out the results…

Going home: Rocco and Karina

Here’s a compilation of most of the campaign spots. I missed Brooke and Rocco due to my technical difficulties, and I had some problems with the editing, but you’ll get the idea…
