Thursday Ratings: American Idol Declines in Double Digits Again
Ratings are in from TVByTheNumbers. Idol is once again down in double digits compared to last year’s Thursday episode.
American Idol Ratings Decline 24% From Last Season (UPDATED)
Fox had Nielsen do a rush job on the time zone adjusted final national ratings and American Idol was adjusted up to a 7.4 adults 18-49 rating, which was down 24% vs. the 9.8 rating for last Wednesday’s premiere, and 21.9 million viewers.

Will American Idol Remain A Number 1 Show?
Rodney Ho of the Atlanta Journal Constitution posted new statistics about American Idol. Nothing here is really a surprise, but I thought it might be fun to discuss. We know that the median age for Idol has been rising each year, and that Season 5 had the best ratings average of all 10 seasons.
