With the Smash TV series behind her, Katharine McPhee is moving on to her next project. The American Idol season 5 runner up is set to star in a feature film titled Depravity, a thriller directed by Paul Tamasy and a script by Dennis Lehane.
It’s official. NBC has cancelled Smash after two seasons. The musical drama, detailing life on the Great White Way, has struggled from the beginning. After debuting in January 2012 with tons of buzz, the initial rave reviews didn’t last long.
On tonight’s Top 8 results show, American Idol season 5 alum, Katharine McPhee joined One Republic on stage to sing their latest single, “If I Lose Myself.”
According to an email from On Camera Audiences, the outfit that fills the American Idol studio audience, Thursday’s results show will not only feature a performance from Colton Dixon, but also a special guest performance from One Republic with Katharine McPhee.
