While the Idol auditions have become long in the tooth, (And yes…I agree with those who believe the auditions need to be overhauled. Every other phase of the competition has been tweaked..but that’s another blog post!) no singing competition has ANYTHING on American Idol Hollywood Week. The Voice battle rounds? Excuse me while I snoooozze. Simon and his creepy weekend vacation with pretty girls (otherwise known as the judges’ houses)? UHM NO.

The Voice – Jamar Rogers On Speaking Out on HIV+ Diagnosis
When The Voice contestant, Jamar Rogers revealed he was HIV positive on the show Monday night, those of you who remember him as Danny Gokey’s best friend from Season 8 of Idol, were probably surprised. He never revealed his diagnosis on the air–not even to Idol producers as he tells the New York Post:

According to the TV ticketing agancy, OCA, the American Idol semi-final rounds will be live. That is, of course, unless Nigel Lythgoe changes his mind. It could happen! Also, the agency is booking finale tickets for the week of May 21 (via OCA)
Strive for Clive – Music fans have offered industry legend Clive Davis $150,000 for tickets to his pre-Grammy gala in Los Angeles. Saturday’s event is shaping up to be star-studded, with guests including

Today, the Glee kids are filming the performances for the Regionals competition episode called “On My Way” set to air on February 21.
And, it looks like the Glee club will be singing Kelly Clarkson’s “What Doesn’t Kill You” (Stronger)
