Jennifer Hudson’s Big Deal
The fact that Jennifer Hudson signed a recording contract with J Records, Clive Davis’s label has become big news the last few days. Interesting–Jennifer posted the news herself on her own website a few weeks ago, and I posted the item here on November 5. Hmmm, it looks like the original blog post I quoted has been taken down. Oops, I think Jen jumped the gun! I imagine the suits wanted to time her announcement with the big “Dreamgirls” promotion that’s been ongoing during the past 2 weeks–including an Entertainment Weekly cover, sneak previews for press in key cities, and an Oprah appearance for the entire cast.
