Heck, he may not even make it past Hollywood. I could be wrong, but there's no harm in speculating.

I agree with you about David Cook. My original comment was in regards to winners, a pop singer whose appeal would be broad enough to snag the crown. Certainly, AI has had their share of pop runner ups like Guarini, Aiken, Yamin and Archuletta, but they haven’t had a male pop singer winner . As far as AI finally producing a marketable young male pop star, the show already has. David Archuleta is young and has proven over these past few months to be a highly marketable pop star.
