This week he wanted the twins to stay because despite the fact that he has slammed them in the past he now realizes that their bratty comedy schtick may have more potential than finding a good singer that fades into oblivion in a couple of months. He's probably thinking of managing them as a comedy duo ala Ant and Dec. When he lets it go to the "public vote" he is trying to save face and get his way at the same time. After all her spot-on ballads followed by the awesome GnR SCoM (where she sang well, performed all over the stage, and showed some killer hottness), this was a total momentum-killer. so danii was right - it was danii's fault and she let lucie down bigtime. Ghostbusters was Jedwards best by far, and an excellent song choice for the boys. Singing about ghosts fits their schtick much better than singing about love or sex (eww). You can just picture a music-comedy album from them. Not pop stars but comedy stars that use music in their act. So based on the 2 performances alone, the right choice was made. But based on the entire run, honestly I did find it completely shocking. I thought Lucie was destined for the final 2 (or at least final 4). Has there ever been an AI early-elimination (i.e. top 6-12) that was so shocking?
