X Factor UK Season 9: Week 4 Results

The results of the Halloween week!
Before I start, I would just like to apologize for any complications. First, here in Slovenia we turned the clocks back one hour this morning and so far it looks like the UK did the same. Second, rain turned into wet, heavy snow last night and we lose power every once in a while. If I suddenly stop live blogging, you know why.

Who could be in trouble tonight? District3, Jade Ellis. My dream bottom 2 would be Chris Maloney vs. Kye Sones, however.

Robbie Williams and .fun perform tonight. Labrinth’s and Emeli Sande’s performance last week catapulted their duet “Beneath Your Beautiful” to #1 on the Official Charts and Irish Charts. Labrinth is one of the few Syco’s non X Factor/BGT artists and this is his first #1 single. Simon Cowell must be thrilled.

According to TV Guide, tonight’s show airs at 8:00pm BST (3:00pm EDT, 12:00pm PDT) on ITV1 (60min). The Xtra Factor airs at 10:00pm BST (60min) on ITV2.

Where to watch the show? If you are in the UK or can get UK IP, watch on ITV.com. Possible alternatives: TV Nutters, TVPC.com.

Please post working live feed links in the comments section below as you find them!

Dermot opens the show with cold opening.

Dermot teases guest performances of .fun and global superstar Robbie Williams.
Time for the judges to enter the studio and sit down. Double introduction, as always.

The voting lines are still open.

X Factor finalists sing David Guetta/Usher collaboration “Without You”.

As usual, the recap of last night’s show is next.

.fun perform their new single. Hmm, “We Are Young” doesn’t sound like a new single to me. They are touring the UK in March.

5 minute warning from Dermot!

Olympian Tom Daley is in the audience. He is so handsome.
The lines are now closed.

Nicole thinks District3 and Jade Ellis could be in trouble. Gary agrees.

And now it’s time for Robbie Williams. He sold 70 million albums and has won 17 Brit Awards. He performs his new single “Candy”. He co-wrote this track with Gary Barlow. He sounds awful (so out of breath) and dances like a drunk uncle. Then he sits in Louis Walsh’s lap. His band is flying above the stage while Robbie sits in some stranger’s lap in the audience.
Finally it’s over. Robbie sounds hyper. Or drunk. His single is currently #2 on iTunes, let’s see if this stunt can move it to #1.

Time for some results…

Safe:
[Lucy Spraggan]
Ella Henderson
District3
Jahmene Douglas
James Arthur
Kye Sones
Rylan Clark
Christopher Maloney

Bottom 2:
Union J
Jade Ellis

Between these two, Union J are the better act and IMO, more valuable to the X Factor’s TPTB. If Jade is dead last in votes, they might let the vote got to deadlock. If not, the judges will send her home, unless Gary and Nicole decide to vote strategically.

Union J sing Pink’s “Perfect”. They are actually good. Very good. Wow.

Jade Ellis sing Dido’s “White Flag”. This is also very good.

Louis sends home: Jade Ellis
Tulisa sends home: Union J
Nicole sends home: Jade Ellis
Gary sends home: Jade Ellis

As expected. Jade Ellis is leaving us tonight.

We are down to 9 acts. In the past two years, TOP 9 acts performed on the X Factor tour, so I think we got this year’s line-up tonight.

Rita Ora and No Doubt perform on the X Factor next week. No X Factor alumn for the second week in a row?
