X Factor UK: Manchester & Liverpool Auditions

This week, X Factor UK expands to 2 shows over the weekend.

Tonight, we will see more Manchester auditions with guest judge Scary Spice Mel B and Liverpool auditions with guest judge Ginger Spice Geri Halliwell.

This weekend, we can expect to see a decent boyband or two. Digital Spy has pictures from tonight’s episode.


According to TV Guide, tonight’s show airs at 8:10pm BST (3:10pm EDT, 12:10pm PDT) on ITV1 (60min). The Xtra Factor airs at 9:10pm BST (60min) on ITV2.

‘I was so devastated I didn’t get through’: Comeback kid Melanie McCabe wows the judges as she makes triumphant return one year after being axed from X Factor
After making it all the way to the judges houses on last year’s show, Melanie McCabe admitted she was devastated to be cut from the process by Kelly Rowland in Miami, Florida.

However, the 18-year-old from Dublin, made a triumphant return to the show as she blew away the judges on tonight’s X Factor.

Speaking about her heartbreak, she said: ‘I was so devastated when I didn’t get through, I cried the whole way home from Miami.

‘I think in the past year I’ve just kind of said to myself no I’m going to come back this year, I’m going to do better.’

Tulisa may have been voted the world’s sexiest woman but that deter a cute X Factor contestant from trying to woo her.

Lovestruck Jason Viet Tien declared his love for the woman he called ‘Tulisha’, before he had even taken to the stage and his smooth moves paid dividends.

The 18-year-old student from Hanoi, Vietnam, surprised everyone with his decent voice after he charmed his way into Tulisa’s heart, despite continuously pronouncing her name wrong.

The show kicked off in Liverpool where Gary Barlow was looking forward to auditions but he was in for a battle with guest judge Geri Halliwell.

The excitable Spice Girl arrived sitting on the window of her chauffeur driven car hoping to make a big impression with the locals.

She said: ‘My father was from Liverpool so I’m one of you!’ but the unimpressed crowd didn’t respond at all as they pretty much ignored her.
