Westlife are basically a cover band now .. they’re always covering other people’s songs as their singles .. they’ve already released things like Mandy, Seasons In The Sun, Uptown Girl, You Raise Me Up as singles and now the Daughtry one ‘ ¦ which has just recenty been in the charts by them so I don’t know why Westlife are doing it as their comeback single after a year off .. Like you say Suzane it’s not like the world is running out of songs ‘ ¦lol

The Westlife fans don’t know why they’re doing it either. Especially given all we’ve read from the guys in recent months about how their new album was going to be all original songs. I guess it still might be — beyond the first single. But then Simon is still their A&R guy at the label and both he and their manager Louis Walsh are fond of covers. I wouldn’t mind it as much if they’d picked obscure songs and made them their own. They seem to think “What About Now” is OK because it’s unknown outside the US… at least until Daughtry released it in the UK just a few weeks ago!!!

I thought they had to pay 35p per call…. Or is that only landlines? Then Dermot always goes on about some Red button that I have no idea what he’s talking about. I wouldn’t vote at all if I ever had to pay anything. Then again I don’t usually vote when it’s free anyways….

I also agree that cute boys always do quite well in X Factor regardless thy can sing or not.

I will not suprise if John and edward can stay till the top 5.

And I am not suprised Cheryl picked Danyl to go home cause she was not happy, her singer Llyod got crushed by Simon twice in a row. And she did not like Danyl personally.

I don’t know whether Michael Buble is overrated or not. Actually I don’t see him in the news that much. But whoever is managing his career, they’re doing a A+ job. He’s never hip, he’s singing covers, he only got a few AC radio hits, yet he’s sold almost 20 million albums worldwide and has sold out arena tour all over the world. One good comparison is Clay Aiken. They debuted same year 2005. Look at where they’re now.

Interestingly, many thought Aiken should go the route of Groban and Buble and his fans fought that every step of the way. They wanted him to be the hip pop sex symbol…

Danyl, IMO, isn’t very impressive and I hope he doesn’t win

I wasn’t a fan of Michael Buble’s type of music, but after I saw him on a morning show and now just watching the X-Factor performance, man, is he cool! There’s something about him, really intense and his moves are interesting, very sexy. Love his voice, the phrasing. I smiled the entire watching him and the end move — love performers that feel the music. Very nice.

I don’t understand the ‘shock’ of the people commenting on this thread of Danyl’s bottom two position. IMO, Danyl is pretty good, he is not great people!

I don’t understand why people get so offended when non-talented-but-entertaining people advance in these TV shows. Those twins are very entertaining. There is no chance in hell I will buy their music, but if I want to see them again making fun of the show’s self-importance, all I have to do is vote for them.

The lack of “Big Band” songs on “Big Band” week is both off-putting and eye-rolling.
