Really interested how LA and co are going to push him on the market. Assume if this does well he has an album in the pipeline as well.

I really think Chris will be a star! Its nice that The X-Factor is giving us stars! With Rachel Crow with her single, Chris, and Astro should be coming out with something soon(I’m sure he will sell millions, he is SO marketable). Excited for Melanie’s single! I think she can be The X-Factor’s equivalent to Kelly Clarkson!

nice summer groove to it… IMO, while not instantly catchy like Call Me Maybe or What Makes You Beautiful, I can imagine it on the radio, it has hit potential…IMO

This is so cute and feel good. Could do well on radio. Reminds me a little of Jason Miraz though.

Very catchy song. I really hope that Chris does well. He deserves it. I can hear this song on the radio.  It does look like the other X-Factor contestants might do well when they release their new music.

    Catchy!

This is a great catchy summer jam! Radio is such a funny thing but I hope this does well. I didnt care for Chris on XF but I think i’m gonna end up loving his album.

This is a fun song, kind of lightweight, but perfect for summer.

If anyone is interested, I found a YouTube that has AI Season 9 alum Alex Lambert’s original demo of the song (he wrote “Trouble” in 2010). It’s actually a video of him lying in bed listening to his demo on a laptop, so the sound quality is not the best. He and Chris have very similar voices.

Yes, as evidenced in the video, the song was written by Season 9 alumni ALEX LAMBERT (and Mike Busbee).

A little bland, but nice pleasant summery music.

If this becomes successful, Alex Lambert will get a nice little cash infusion from being a writer on it. :)

This is a cute song. Don’t know if it’ll be a hit, but I wish Chris the best!

Now, I am waiting for Melanie, Josh and Astro!

Alex Lambert!! Totally forgot about him.

This song is ok. Reggae-influenced pop songs were very popular a couple of years ago, but not as much in 2012. So I don’t know if radio will latch onto this or not. It does have the laid back summer vibe, so it could do ok.

Good luck to Chris R. with this.

listened to it once, have no interest in listening again….if there could be such a category as “bubblegum reggae” this would be the perfect example.

Wow – not really a Chris Rene fan and didn’t really like Young Homie at all, but I really like this!

Not his style. Stick with rap.

Thanks for adding the Alex info, MJ.

I like Alex.  Maybe he will be like the stars in the other thread who were on a t.v. show but have a brand new audience out in the real world who don’t remember him from the show.  I’m glad he is still working on his music.

Really great hit potential>> Good for Chris!!!! We all remember Alex Lambert from a couple years ago, coz there was a post here nearly every day from MJ lol, but, IDK what happened to all his promotion - he was cute and had a good voice , but, at least he’s in the music business to an extent, maybe one day he”ll get a recording contract.
