THE X FACTOR: Britney Spears arrives at the taping of THE X FACTOR in Providence. RI, Tuesday, June 27. THE X FACTOR airs on FOX. CR: Stew Milne/ FOX.

The X Factor auditions began in Providence today and run through Friday night. I’ll be at the very last taping and will be tweeting and such. So watch out for that!

The judges, Simon Cowell, LA Reid, Britney Spears and Demi Lovato arrived at the Dunkin Donuts Center this afternoon to a huge throng of fans!

Here’s some audio from this afternoon, recorded by a Demi Lovato fan. They TALK A LOT so be warned. You’ll hear a dude cover Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe”. Simon Cowell called it a “brave choice”.

    Wow, I thought the second guy sounded fine until he butchered “Barefoot Blue Jean Night.” The girl after that sounded okay with “No One,” but I stopped listening to the rest of the audios. Girl who was recording and her friends were a little too much for me.

    I actually thought that dude sounded horrible on Call Me Maybe, but decent on Barefoot Blue Jean Night.

    Agreed! Britney looks amazing today! Reminds me of how she looked back in 2002. So youthful! I think the make-up is better this time. Plus, look at those puppies! #boobney

    I attended this show, There are 2 snippets, im sad they didnt show up. There was this one girl, Named Dyna Jane. OMG Simon and LA Reid predicted that she will be a Finalist, this season. Also there was this 52 year old chinese lady, who didn’t speak much english, She Butchered Celine Dion’s My Heart Will Go On. It was a highlight moment, just a bad moment and will make for good TV.

    I heard about the Celine lady. People tweeting were sayng their hearts couldn’t go on after it, hahaha.
     
    What did this Dyna sing? :O I think I saw her in a picture. Someone tweeted her and said “she must win”.
