X Factor 3 Top 10 Poll Results and Predictions

Two contestants will be sent home tonight by the end of The X Factor results show. Here are my predictions and YOUR poll results.

Alex and Sierra’s performance of 1D’s “Best Song Ever” was far and away your fave. Additionally, it was the only song that managed to chart meaningfully on iTunes, charting in the Top 50. I think they’re safe this week. Lillie McCloud delivered her typical masterclass vocal on “This Woman’s Work”, and you liked it too, but only half as much as A&S. Ellona Santiago and her dramatic performance of “Burn” came 3rd followed by Jeff Gutt’s ambitious “Bohemian Rhapsody.” The rest were bunched up in the single digits.

You all predict that Tim Olstad and Carlito Olivero will go home. I think they SHOULD go home. But I’m not convinced they will. Tim has no stage presence, but his crying and whining last night about how m33n Demi was to him last week, coupled with a competent vocal could keep him out of the bottom 3. He could be the thing that won’t go away this season.

While Carlito’s performance of “Satisfaction” was horrifically cheesy, he got the “try-hard” speech from Simon during the critique. That could have generated some votes.

I don’t think Khaya Cohen is connecting with audiences, and she could be out the door tonight. She lacks vocal control and could definitely use some training. Rion Paige had a good night last night, so I don’t think she’s going anywhere. And of course: Backstory. Jeff Gutt performed early, which could hurt his chances of sticking around.

The thing is, last week’s ouster of Sweet Suspense and Rachel Potter was not predicted. With a voting pool that’s shallow and uninvested, anything could happen.

I’m going to predict: Khaya Cohen and maybe Jeff Gutt or Carlito Olivero.
