Why loath anyone with a passion?  So what if they are not humble.  Why is that a requirement in a recording act?  They are not auditioning to be priests!

I wouldn’t call them DBs, but I would call them idiots, silly, ignorant, self-involved, supercilious idiots, to be sure, but still idiots.  They actually are children; they have a chance to evolve. I hope they do, because they are currently obnoxious.

C’mon guys. Whining about criticism of your faves is going to get your post deleted and maybe YOU banned from posting on the site. Read the guidelines and FOLLOW THEM.

My opinion as follows, is based purely on what my ears enjoyed hearing throughout this season:
Tate Stevens is a better than average country singer, however, the country genre is filled with outstanding singers, and as good as Tate is, he is not in the same league as Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Josh Turner, George Strait, or any of the country singers currently charting, and this includes Scotty McCreery. I do enjoy his voice, but I really do not think he has the potential to become a country singing star.

Fifth Harmony has improved, but I think Sister C has more potential to become successful than does Fifth Harmony. I dislike one of the voices very much, and unfortunately she sings solo way too often. This being a thrown together group of 5 talented soloists, that could gel over time, does not seem like a good bet for longevity. Girl groups historically do not stay together for any extended period of time. I really do not think that FIfth Harmony has the potential to become successful.

Emblem 3′s performances throughout the season have left me totally underwhelmed. Yes, I have enjoyed some of their performances, as I have with all the contestants, but at the end of the day, I won’t be buying their music. With Simon backing them, they have a better chance at success than FIfth Harmony or even Tate Stevens, because Simon does have some pull in the industry, so Emblem 3 will get their shot. Do they have the X factor? For my ears, they are just an average garage band.

Carly Rose has amazed me with every performance she has given. As for singing too many runs, or reaching for too many high notes, well, Christina, Mariah and Whitney seemed to be very successful doing just that. No, I am not comparing Carly to the success these three divas have had, but she can be compared to them when they were 13, and I believe Carly is as good at 13 as these three were at 13. The answer to whether or not she can be current, one needs only to look at her performances of “Feeling Good” or “Pumped Up Kicks.” Carly is the only one of the four remaining acts that I would purchase anything she released. To my ears, her voice is golden.

I feel like this show just doesn’t work in the US :(

I just saw Dial Idol and the voting is predictable: Tate, Carly, Emblem3, and Fifth Harmony in that order. It doesn’t look good for the girls. 

As for the show not working in the US, the problem is people still see AI as the talent show to watch in this country; ironically outside of the US, the XF has overtaken all of the Idol shows.

My favorite from last night was 5H’s and Tate Stevens’ first song.  I’ve never liked CRS, she can sing the words, but she reminds me of so many contestants from AI that could sing, but wasn’t able to connect with the words…

E3 – is just an oh wow type of group.  I think they have the factor but not with an X in the front.  They have a lot of screaming girls that love them, but vocally they are not the business!!!.
