Simon Cowell told reporters after last night’s X Factor results show that he wants to sign Emblem3, even if they don’t win.

“I think there’s a pretty good chance. I’m not going to let anyone else get them.” Adding, “There’ll be some pretty big announcements at the end of the show.”

The boys, Wesley Stromberg, Keaton Stromberg and Drew Chadwick were super happy to hear the news:

“That makes me feel very good,” said Wesley, the birthday boy with stars in his eyes. “He’s probably got his poker face on. He just wants us to focus on what’s going on so he’s probably not telling us that on purpose but this is awesome. That’s super cool. We’re probably gonna do better now actually, that’s motivation.”

What kind of album will the boys make?

“We want it to be like the last Sublime album that was ever released,” said Drew. “The one with Bradley [Norwell],” clarified Wesley. Added Keaton, “We want it to be as real as possible.”

Good luck with THAT! Heh. Via The Hollywood Reporter

Also, don’t expect a leader board at the end of next week’s results show:

But don’t expect to see any more weekly rankings. The next time the audience will see which act finished #1 will be when the winner is announced on Dec. 20. “We have to,” Cowell said about stopping the rankings next week. “The reason we did it tonight was because there was a change and we wanted to tell everyone there was a change. Otherwise everyone would’ve assumed Carly would’ve been #1. But that’s been the excitement of showing the leaderboard, it does change.”

He probably does not want to telegraph the eventual winner. But that horse is already out of the barn. He’s also going to make sure the X Factor schedule isn’t a mess next year. To that end, he plans to cancel the world series. Just kidding! I can’t figure out how else he would solve the show’s gnarly scheduling problems.

Also, Simon suggested the PERFECT career move to the newly eliminated CeCe Frey

Cowell doesn’t believe the judges were overly harsh on Frey, who was finally eliminated tonight after several close calls, and has an interesting idea for what she should do post-”X Factor”: “CeCe’s a tough nut. You know what you’re entering into [when you audition for the show]. Everyone knows her name now. I said to her tonight she should do her own reality show. [That] didn’t go down particularly well. [She said] ‘I’m a singer!’ I said you can do both.”

Maybe Simon will produce it! Via Zap2it

No, it was canceled due to lack of interest

Oh was there a tour set to happen? :O

  • iluvai

I guess maybe Simon is banking on Emblem 3 catching the imagination of the British teens (Cali surfer dudes) like 1D caught the imagination of American girls (and British, Irish, Australian, yada yada girls).  :) It could happen! ;)

  • iluvai

I think CeCe is a train wreck. She’s scary bad. So yeah, there is probably a reality show out there just waiting. ;)

I hope they do have the X Factor contestants tour as it would be good for their careers.

  • blackberryharvest

The ratings were even lower this year, so I’m not sure if the interest would be any bigger. Also, would they run their tour in the winter/spring? I can’t see them trying to compete with the idol tour in the summer. They just won’t win.

  • Anny_nanny

It will be a Great Battle mosquito and elephant. Alas, the elephant did not even know when he will crush this mosquito.

Why even have a competition? Why even have a show and have the people vote?

It is Simon’s show and we already knows who he wants…no one else need not apply.

I hope Emblem3 is elminated next week (unless the fix is in for E3 to suddenly appear in the finale and win the whole thing ) ;)

Is that so? Ok got nothing more to say then. I think they’re pretty damn good. What do you think is good? Seriously I would like to expand my tastes.

Winning Xfactor has always been a joke.  Simon doesn’t give a monkey’s who wins.  He always backs the one whom he believes will make him the fast buck. He knows nothing about musicality, only the music industry as a cash cow.  Matt Cardle the winner last year….crickets.  Simon’s manufactured boy band, cute but reallllllly bad at singing, MONEY!!!

Simon is the number one reason I dislike X-Factor.

  • Kamokunz

You have to realize that the “winner” is not always the best singer/performer in a show like this. The public power voting should tell you everything. Do we need to support all the WGWG that has been winning American Idol for the last 5 years? You either make it or you don’t.

  • geekygirl

Then why have a winner?  Matt can sing circles around the cute boys, and if you have a winner the show should support them!  Simon made it perfectly clear he would have nothing to do with Matt.  Simon uses XFactor as his test market to see what will sell.  Let’s see how supportive he is of Tate Stevens if he wins.

Is the big announcement going to say that there wont be a 3rd season after all? Haha.
