I don’t think so because of this:

My daughters both have multiple signatures on their arms, as well as the item that we’d brought.

LOL, we have a mystery item on our hands…;)

What a lovely recap! I really enjoyed your story of the “excitement” leading up to your safe arrival and was holding my breath until I read that you did in fact arrive in time!
I had the good fortune to spend a week in Toronto once, and have to say that your “oh, well, lets just take it as it is and do the best we can” attitude strikes me as very “Ontario”, one of the many things I like about your beautiful part of Canada.

I’m sorry about the problem you have with your car before the concert.. .. I’m glad your two little girls had the best first concert experience ever and glad how the idols really appreciate their young fans and really take times with them. If Adam could come out I’m sure he would also take times and chat with them. I bet they don’t want to wash their arms.. :biggrin_wp:

Loved your recap! Glad you got home safe, and had fun at the show…. especially your girls! I too found the idols very gracious at the barricades. For my daughter and her friends, (all 10 & 11 years old), it was the cherry on the sundae! Although I have never gone to a M&G before this season, I can see why reports of this particular group of idols is so positive stating that they get along so well with each other, and are genuinely nice, young people! We should all be proud of them as our kids all benefit from them being such good role models! I went to both Newark concerts and barricade M&Gs. Adam came out the first night and was as kind and gracious as the other idols. I told the other moms I was with that I would not be surprised if that was Adam’s last M&G forever….. or at least for a while. The night after, he didn’t come out and hasn’t since. I felt his voice was a bit strained, he was stressed and completely drained physically and emotionally. I would guess his schedule and demands are significantly more than the majority of the other idols at this time with the exception of Kris and maybe Allison. I do not blame him in the least for not pushing himself beyond normal limits. I am impressed and grateful for the idols that continue to come out for the signings. They do it out of shear kindness and wanting to meet their fans. The majority of their fans truly appreciate their time and effort, especially the kids!

So happy to hear that you finally made it to the Concert after all the car woes. Sounds like it was all worth it. I think I have read that the handlers aren’t letting them sign things other than what was purchased at the venue. Way to go 19.. if that’s true!! I remember seeing Adam signing copies of RS and t-shirts, so I don’t know what the problem would be. Well, glad you left with some good memories and thanks for the review!

I’m glad that the concert itself made all of the problems worth it. Glad that the van got you there and home safely, in spite of the problems.

Like a few others, I’m curious what item Lil wasn’t sure that she could sign. I’m guessing it wasn’t a blank check. LOL.

She didn’t think that she was allowed to sign the item that my girls had brought to be signed. She was very kind about it and explained her reasons,

I have to say that Lil did not look like she was all that happy when she was on stage.

There was a review by another fan. Apparently, Adam has laryngitis, which was why they said it was due to “medical issues”

That was a nice recap, I am glad your daughters loved the idols and get to meet so many of them.

Now, our plan had been to get signatures before the concert, especially because I’d read that Adam wouldn’t be signing after the show due to medical issues

FYI Adam doesn’t come before the show.

Hey, I’m sorry about your car problems Similar thing happened to me when I went to the concert here in LA — my car died right at one of the busiest intersections near LAX and I had to wait 1/2 hour for a fricking tow truck, and I ended up missing the pre-show m&g, although I got there in time for the concert

Ugh, you poor thing! I understand the feeling that to laugh is better than to cry. I’m so glad you and your daughters had such a wonderful time and that you were able to get home safely! Thanks for sharing your experience.

Also, you’ve made me curious about what the “item” was that Lil didn’t think she could sign. LOL.
