It’s looking more and more like American Idol fans dodges the Will.i.am bullet. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that the Black Eyed Pea will return to coach on the next season of The Voice UK.
The Hollywood Reporter has learned that the Black Eyed Peas frontman-turned-solo star will return to the U.K. version of The Voice as a coach for the third season of the BBC One show. He’ll join Tom Jones, who’s also expected to return. Pop star Jessie J and The Script frontman Danny O’Donoghue announced their departure from the show in July.
A third seat on the show looks like it will go to Australian pop star Kylie Minogue, according to an insider, although she has yet to officially sign on.
According to sources, Will.i.Am’s talks with American Idol stalled over money. Producer, Dr. Luke, is rumored to fill the third seat. Keith Urban is confirmed to return, while Jennifer Lopez appears likely to take a seat on the panel once again.
