Every weekend, there are countless countdown shows. VH1’s top 20 videos. Ryan’s American Top 40. Rick Dee’s Weekly Top 40 and many more. If you find an Idol on one of these shows, please post it here!

This is the general numbers thread for the weekend. So, if you find some cool numbers, this is the thread for posting them.

I suspect the Scotty Lauren co promotion will continue til the end of the tour and then stop when they start gearing up for their respective album releases. It’s smart to have them together now – two teens, both in country. The opportunities available are avaiable to both so they should take them

It’s almost scary how fast this song is rising. 2.5 weeks after the show and after recurrents were removed this afternoon, ILYTB is sitting at 26th:

34 26 SCOTTY MCCREERY I Love You This Big

This won’t change before tonight so that will be the new peak. I think Lauren will have a good chance of charting once AllAccess updates.

    wow…26? Go, Scotty!

    That is just incredible.

girlygirl: What do y’all think about the chances of it cracking the Top 20, eventually (though not for awhile, probably)? I see it’s 1357 spins behind the song currently at #20, which seems like a lot of ground to try and make up. But I also see there are a couple of songs losing spins that are currently ahead of ILYTB as well.

Bear in mind the Mediabase country chart is based on points which are calculated from spins and AIs, not just spins. But I also don’t know where you’re getting the 1357 spins behind number. ILYTB has 679 fewer spins and a little over 3 million less AIs than the current #20 song. He made up around 1.7 million AIs this week on the current #20 song. Pointwise he’s around 1460 points behind the current #20 song.

I already said this but IMO if Scotty gets up to 90 cumulative adds on the monitored Mediabase country panel then he’ll probably make the t20. He’s at 72 now including the early adds for the upcoming week. Even now it would take him hitting a serious brick wall to not make it considering how fast he made t30. George Strait and Alan Jackson are 2 format veterans with new lead singles out that’ll do well and might be threats to pass him before he makes the t20 but right now there isn’t a lot else to threaten ILYTB from behind.

I think it’ll start settling back into some more normal weeks of gains. But this upcoming week might continue to be pretty good for him after the hype of CMA Fest and his meeting some DJs during the radio avail plus DJs seeing people go nuts about him (and Lauren to some extent too). I’m still a skeptic because of the song and I still think what’s happening now is because of Scotty and his AI popularity. But maybe that’ll be enough to take the song higher.

Some of this weekend’s big gains have been because of ILYTB debuting on a couple t40 countdowns. But he still hasn’t debuted on CCUSA which should happen in I think 2 weeks. Expect some nice spin pickups at that point too.
