P2′s “Home” is now up for voting on VH1 Music Video Countdown page.

  • Anonymous

I’m too lazy to go through the whole list, but “Home” is #7 on iTunes this morning. So it’s still holding up well.

ETA – anyone know what songs will go recurrent/get purged from the CHR chart when the published one comes out tonight? “Home” is 45 on this morning’s chart, but I’m wondering if it could break Top 40 after the recurrents/purged songs are removed.

ETA2 – If I’m reading the post on the Pulse HAC thread correctly, the only song above “Home” on this morning’s HAC chart that is eligible to go recurrent is
What Makes You Beautiful”. If that’s correct, Phillip will just miss making the Top 15 (“Home” is at #17 on this morning’s chart)

Stupid taylor swift messed with casy j top 30 spot.I hope this dont hurt to much.6 songs will be off the chart within 2 updates maybe 7 so he will have a big chart jump in the next two weeks.

  • Anonymous

Hopefully, he will only be out temporarily!

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/FY2C22O3MOGRCKTXRWVOSL6B24 Anonymous

It will only be temporary because 3 sngs go recurrent next week but next mondays update could be brutal when he loses those if he dont pick up spins this  week. Then when he loses the lon helton spins the next week. Its just a bad time but he will move up  or 5 spots in the next couple of weeks.

  • windmills

Looking at the MB country chart this morning:

The Clear Channel/Big Machine/Taylor Swift deal messed things up in a big way. Taylor’s actually going to debut ahead of all Idols at Billboard, probably at #13 before dropping back next week. At MB she’ll debut ahead of all the Idols but Carrie. Taylor’s MB updates this coming Wednesday on all formats should be record setting and LOLzy in their own right.

There will be no MB recurrents ahead of Carrie and CaseyJ, but Lauren’ll move back up a spot to #42 when Thomas Rhett finally goes recurrent on MB. There’ll be no recurrents ahead of Carrie and CaseyJ at Billboard this week either.

Carrie’s BA will end the week at #16 MB. Taylor will pass at Billboard and I don’t think BA will pass Easton Corbin’s song so I’d guess BA will drop back a spot to #18 BB.

As already pointed out CaseyJ’s COAS will fall to #31 MB because of Taylor, Eric Church, and Toby Keith passing unless the afternoon update switches COAS and Toby Keith’s song (it’s probably close seeing as Toby just passed this morning). So, that means the annoyance of lost countdown spins. COAS also has Luke Bryan’s new song bearing down on it and Kip Moore’s Beer Money has picked up again. Kenny Chesney and possible Chris Young going recurrent at MB (unfortunately) could help. At BB I think  COAS will probably drop a spot because of Taylor but have a solid week thanks to the 2nd wave of countdown spins giving it a good Sunday.

Lauren’s 18 Inches had a tough week, but I think songs below the t40 are the ones that get worst hit by these hourly deals. I’m not reading a whole lot into it but I do think 18 Inches needs to start picking up some Clear Channel adds soon.  At BB 18 Inches will pass Water Tower Town but get passed by Taylor’s song, and there’s a chance Aaron Lewis and/or Randy Rogers Band passed since it’s tight in that part of the chart. Worst case scenario is 18 Inches dropping 2 spots to #43, best case is holding at #41.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/FY2C22O3MOGRCKTXRWVOSL6B24 Anonymous

With three recurrents CASEY J will move back up to 28 but then he will move to 29 when like passes. With countdown spins from country countdown usa he should be able to stay ahead of kip moore.

You’re right about Thompson Square definitely going recurrent next week. I confused their Billboard bullet this week with a Mediabase one. Now I’m wondering if they might get yanked off the BB chart this coming week.

I think Chris Young’s Neon is one of the if not the best songs on the chart right now and it’s been so depressing seeing it struggle. I hope it doesn’t go recurrent this coming week but there’s a chance. There’s a chance it may hang on to its Aircheck bullet, though it didn’t last week with a smaller negative bullet and a larger AI gain for the week.

I love neon. Its fun to sing along with. Not sure what happened with that song.

Thanks fot the spin increase stats.

Do you think this is going to effect casey j to much with loss of countdown spins. I dont expect him to have those numbers tonorrow. He only gained 11 spins today.

I sure wish something would happen for Scotty – he needs a really good single – CD #2 can’t come fast enough.

In the long term I don’t think it’ll be a big deal. It basically comes down to when country radio’s going to be ready to treat COAS as a t30 song. The countdown spins hit isn’t going to come until 2 weeks from now. If by then country radio’s treating COAS like a t30 song (which by then I think it will) then COAS will retain its bullet despite the hit. Even if it doesn’t retain its bullet, it’ll regain those spins eventually and it’ll make for a bigger boost when country radio is ready to treat COAS as a t30 song.

The reason I think COAS will handle the countdown instability fine is the fact that on its weaker chart (BB) it’ll be pushing t30 in just its 10th week (it’ll probably make BB t30 in its 12th week). It’ll get its turn into the t30 faster than most unestablished country acts no matter what, and that’s a good sign for it doing more than peaking at #20.

I guess COAS Sunday update was a little small for a CCUSA gain but I really think the Clear Channel/Taylor thing messed with his spot in t30 rotations across the panel.

Scott Borchetta tweeted that coming into Sunday, Taylor Swift broke Lady Gaga’s record for most singles sold in a week by a female artist.  Based on Sunday’s numbers, she could have the overall record.
