That’s a stretch, since it’s the label that has to do the paperwork and pay the fee for concert venue sales to be reported to Soundscan. RCA/Jive used to be lazy (or penny-wise, pound-foolish) on this issue for many of its bands, but it got better in the past year or so, and CDs started being sold at shows for its bands who hadn’t done so in the past.

That said, we’re at about the time frame where KA would be able to change management, so it wouldn’t shock me if he also had done that.

I think with Interscope it’s a little different, because the interviews aren’t just about promoting the idol tour, and they are being set up by the label, not 19.  Previously, we had people going to various formats, even if their post AI music wouldn’t fit those stations, and there were cases where everybody, even those who weren’t signed, were doing the interviews.  But, what Jimmy has done with Pia, Scotty and now Phillip is different, since the visits are about promoting them, and not AI.
