girlygirltoo: When is Blown Away officially going for adds?

July 9th at Country (EDIT: Oops, Pam already posted that), and they haven’t sent a radio edit to radio yet (label’s likely been holding BA back to set up some space between their bigger name releases). Some stations are playing the album track or their own radio edits anyway and the syndicated show Big Time With Whitney Allen’s been playing BA some the last couple weeks. I’m thinking the radio edit may be made available sometime next week, but maybe not. Next week is actually the adds week for Miranda Lambert’s new single and that one finally picked up some steam and made Mediabase t40 this week. I mentioned that one because Miranda’s also under the Sony umbrella and is her single is the big name release I was thinking of as far as Sony trying to space its big names out.

OffLeash, there aren’t any signs of radio backlash against Carrie. Based on Brian Mansfield’s weekly airplay reports her overall recurrent play at country radio is as strong as ever, and GG had already peaked a few weeks ago as elliegrll and girlygirltoo already said. GG didn’t get any HAC promo other than an adds date so though it didn’t make significant inroads into HAC (#21 Mediabase/#20 Billboard doesn’t mean a whole lot as far as AIs), I just figure it was a bonus 4-5 million AIs at peak time.

As far as Carrie’s UK push, I’m guessing they were hoping the album would slide in at #10 instead of #11 but I’m still calling this week a success based on Carrie’s RAH show and the response she got from that. I don’t think Brad Paisley’s albums peak very high in the UK but that hasn’t stopped him from playing some good sized venues in Great Britain and Ireland and hopefully Carrie can do the same. Carrie’s got something to build on in the UK now if she chooses. Now, she’s got 5 Australia tour dates, starting with Melbourne on Tuesday. If she’s doing some Australia radio/TV promo on top of that then it’s unknown at this time. But it’d be nice if she did considering Blown Away debuted at #4 on the all genre ARIA charts there with no promo other than Australian country radio/TV play.

That Kip Moore song going for adds 7/9 is going to be a big hit for him too.

Just heard The Vision Of Love on the AT40 HAC Countdown show! Ryan first talked about Kris being the S8 Idol winner, then he played part of Kris’ “girl pop medley” (and said he loved it) and plugged his album before playing TVOL.

    Very nice! :D

    Thanks Pam and Windmills :)

Your welcome :) and thanks windmills too.  :)

Thanks to the poster who left the link and information about the Creative Disc site for Indonesia and other Asian markets, Here’s the Creative Disc Top 50 Chart for June 25th.

Number 1 on the chart is “The Last Song I’ll Write For You”  – David Cook – up from #6 on last week’s Top 50

1 6 16 5 The Last Song I’ll Write For You [Single / David Cook] David Cook 1

Other artists who are followed here are also on the chart – along with plenty of names that could be found on any Stateside chart.

13 4 8 7 Teach Me How To Be Loved [Heaven / RCA] Rebecca Ferguson 4
    21 31 34 4 Home [Single / 19 Recordings] Phillip Phillips 21
    30 19 9 10 Never Close Our Eyes [Trespassing / RCA] Adam Lambert 1
    37 26 13 8 Call My Name [A Million Lights / Fascination] Cheryl Cole 4
45 New Entry 1 Goin’ In [Step Up Revolution / Island] Jennifer Lopez ft. Flo Rida 45

1 6 16 5 The Last Song I’ll Write For You [Single / David Cook] David Cook 1

That’s terrific !!! Maybe they’ll try to release it here, I doubt it though.

  • Incipit

I doubt it too, Karen C – not with the corporate stranglehold that exists on US Terrestrial radio – it costs a lot of $$ to do that, and no guarantees they’ll even play a song outside of overnights. But it is licensed to the services that play music loops in theaters, stores, restaurants, malls, etc. all the subliminal advertising stuff. *wink* People have reported hearing it since the day it went up on iTunes.

But the song moved right up the charts in the Philippines and Indonesia – it was only on this chart five weeks, and moved into #1 position. On Magic 89.9 Manila it’s in the Top 10 at #7 – Very nice to see.

Thanks for bringing that over Incipit.  Nice to see David charting and the song moved up quickly too. “Never Close Our Eyes” moved up quickly also and peaked at #1. “Home” seems to moving a lot slower.

  • Karen C

It is being played on internet radio, especially Wise Radio, so that’s some exposure.  That’s great if it’s played in music loops here.

  • Incipit

” Nice to see David charting and the song moved up quickly too. “Never
Close Our Eyes” moved up quickly also and peaked at #1. “Home” seems to
    moving a lot slower. “

Whiskey, I noticed the peak at #1 on the end of NCOE’s line – that’s cool. But now AL needs another song for them to play. The interesting thing I noticed is if the Label doesn’t give them one – the Asian stations are just as likely to pick one themselves. *snerk* On another Jakarta station, “Hard to Believe” just finally dropped down from #1 last week, as TLS entered the chart – and that was never a label release.

“Home” ‘is’ moving slowly – it took a while to get on some of the charts. IDK how it will do in that market…until the Idol tour arrives, anyway.

For anyone interested in following adds in real time, I found one Mediabase link that’s working for me without a password.

    http://addboard.mediabase.com/StationsInTab.asp?Status=IN&Format=A2

It will let you see which stations have reported, but you have to click on individual stations to see what they added. So far three HAC stations have reported. Kelly has 2 adds and Phillip & Carrie each have 1.

  • Anonymous

Thanks so much for the link! Good start for Kelly and P2.
So far 4 HAC adds for Kelly, 3 adds for P2 and 1 for Carrie.
For CHR adds so far, 1 or Kelly and 1 for Stefano (Chicago!)

Thanks a bunch for that link!  It’s been really frustrating losing access again.  I’ll take whatever crumbs I can get my hands on!  :)

I don’t have time to post numbers this morning because of Dr’s appointments today.  I’ll try to get around to it today as soon as I can.  :)
