Wednesday Ratings: SYTYCD Ratings Rise

FOX was the number one network among adults 18-49 and  total viewers.

On FOX, So You Think You Can Dance earned a 2.6 among adults 18-49 up 8% from a 2.4 for last Thursday’s premiere.

Dancing is more popular than hockey? Hm.  The increase in ratings is good news for SYTYCD.

    Dancing is more popular than hockey?

    You would have thought it was the other way around.  lol  That’s good news for the ratings bump though.

    Very good news, maybee this means that airing on Thursday against Duets did affect SYTYCD ratings, so we can hope that the later show also gets a bump this week.

    Who wants to bet that SYTYCD will go back to two nights if “The Choice” flops? Oh God, I hope “The Choice” flops.

    two hours is a bit long for me. I wish the auditions were shorter, however last night was pretty good.

    Last night’s episode was really good.   I enjoyed it.  In the past I’ve sometimes gotten bored by the middle of the live shows because too many contemporary dancers has made it dull.  Seems like there may be better variety.

    Here are last night’s final adjusted ratings from tvbythenumbers.

    So You Think You Can Dance was adjusted up a tenth and the repeats of The Middle and America’s Next Top Model were adjusted down a tenth among adults 18-49 versus Wednesday’s preliminary ratings.

    8:00 FOX So You Think You Can Dance (8-10PM) 2.7/8 7.15

    I love the auditions. The back stories are handled okay and there is minimal freak shows. I just love watching the raw, pure dancing talent before the confines of competition. Maybe this season I’ll watch it all the way to the end.

    Looking at the ratings for Wednesday night, no one is watching TV anymore. So in that respect, American Idol is still very much King. I hope ths is a good sign for SYTYCD. I like it far more than DWTS (which I don’t like at all).

    I hope it will go back to 2 nights. I also thought this week’s show was very entertaining.
