Ratings are in from TVByTheNumbers

American Idol  earned a 4.4 18-49 rating, shedding three-tenths from last Wednesday’s 4.7. However, Idol still easily lead a FOX win for adults 18-49 ratings and total viewership on the night.

Dancing with the Stars Monday performance (8-10p) 2.7 7 16.370
The Voice Tuesday performance (8-10 PM) 3.8 10 10.740
The Voice Tuesday results 9:00PM 4.4 11 11.900

Whoa. That’s quite a dip for Idol this week. It still beat DWTS  and The Voice in the demo and tied The Voice finale (although the numbers for Idol often tick higher in the final ratings)

    Idol is losing viewership because;
    1. The judges are pointless, they need to clear house next year
    2.
    The final 4 are not that good or interesting. Josh and Jessica are ok
    but not amazing, P2 is kind of weak but has some moments and Hollie is
    kind of like a deer in the headlights.

    I agree, and also I think that the two hour shows for the whole season is too much. Two hours of mostly mediocre singing the same songs again followed by some judge waffle is too much to take.
