VIDEO PREMIERE: Carrie Underwood’ – “See You Again” (Plus Bonus CMA Fest Footage)

Check out the video premiere for Carrie’s single “See You Again” via ABC News. The emotional clip builds on the faith-based message of the song that our goodbyes are not permanent, and features images of reunions, partings, graduation, and loss, as well as topical messages of love to Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut and Moore in Carrie’s home state of Oklahoma (from a fellow tornado-stricken town of Joplin, Missouri).

“See You Again” currently sits at #13 on the Mediabase country airplay charts and #14 on the Billboard country airplay charts. Carrie, joined by 24 members of Nashville’s Christ Church, will perform the song at tonight’s CMT Awards, as a memorial to the victims of the recent tornadoes in Oklahoma.

The video premiere is part of a busy CMA Fest week for Carrie. Yesterday, she hosted her annual fan club party yesterday, inviting cowriters Hillary Lindsey, Cary Barlowe, and Josh Kear to perform a writers round for fans that was also streamed live for fan club members. The set list included “Good Girl,” “Undo It,” “Nobody Ever Told You,” “Good In Goodbye” and “Two Black Cadillacs” (on which Carrie sang lead) while Kear sang lead on “Before He Cheats,” “Blown Away,” “One Way Ticket” and his Lady Antebellum smash “Need You Now,” and Lindsey sang lead on “Do You Think About Me,” “Wasted,” “Jesus Take The Wheel,” and the Gary Allan #1 hit “Every Storm (Runs Out Of Rain)” (with Carrie lending backing vocals). Carrie then surprised fans by converting the fan club party into a #1 party for “Two Black Cadillacs,” which she cowrote with Lindsey and Kear. Number one parties are usually industry-only events, but Carrie wanted to give her fans a taste of something different.

Carrie also opened the Blown Away Tour exhibit at the Country Music Hall Of Fame and Museum yesterday, which tells the story of Carrie’s recently completed 112-date Blown Away tour through wardrobe, microphones, and a showcase of fan signs and gifts. According to Brian Mansfield’s report at USA Today, Carrie said:

“There’s so many of us that spent so much time, so much energy and so much love putting together the Blown Away Tour,” Underwood said. “I really do feel like, walking by the displays, that people that got to come out to see a show can really relive those moments. And I do feel like people who never got the opportunity to see us live can get a sense of what the show was like.”

Carrie commented to Brian:

The exhibit precedes the 8/13 release of the Blown Away Tour DVD. According to Country Countdown USA, Carrie said of the DVD:

“We try to open our world to the fans of backstage stuff. There’s a lot of footage from our rehearsals, giving people insight into what goes into a tour, but I’m excited that people who came to tours can relive it, and people who couldn’t make it can definitely have a good experience by watching the DVD.”

After tonight’s CMT Music Awards, Carrie is scheduled to celebrate her 5th anniversary as an Opry member with two sets at the Opry on Friday, June 5. According to the Opry schedule, Carrie will close the 8 PM (Eastern time) show with a half hour segment from 9:30-10 PM Eastern, and she will close the 10:30 PM (Eastern time) show with a half hour segment from midnight to 12:30 AM Eastern. The Opry shows will also feature Lauren Alaina, and will be streamable live on wsmonline.com. Then on Sunday, Carrie will close CMA Fest with a performance at LP Field.
